When the water level is lower, it is appears islands rocky and sandy beach larger than 50 acres is an important area of tourism.​​ This is a major tourist attraction that generates income to the local people a lot. at , Province and Nong Khai larger The locals are going to build a temporary shelter, food on these beaches. However, increase water level will cause the area flooding. They loose the income.

 “Kang Kudkoo” The sand and rocks has emerged not out of the water to see or walk leisure swimming pool "rapids curve" is the selling point for the Songkran festival, the city that has been popular with many tourists regularly. yearly

Conclusions & Recommendations Monitoring system done by DWR with cooperation with MRCS Very useful to know status and monitoring Mekong river

Exchange data and sharing information from U/S to D/S of Mekong river to support in water resources management in order to reduce impact and concerning issues.

Promote & Strengthen cooperation between Lancang river and Mekong river such as Join study should be urgently initiate and implement ASAP.
