The Reception Odyssey of the Bessarabian Brilliant Writer B.P
Conferința-omagiu „Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu: Patrie, Onoare şi Ştiinţă” THE RECEPTION ODYSSEY OF THE BESSARABIAN BRILLIANT WRITER B.P. HASDEU IN THE ROMANIAN CULTURAL AREA Natalia LUCHIANCIUC, senior lecturer, Marianna FUCIJI, senior lecturer, Cahul State University „B.P.Hasdeu”, Department of Languages and Literatures Abstract: Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu’s personality and literary works gave rise to divergent views - some criticized and challenged him either for certain attitudes to political or cultural events or for the works that completed his creation, but others appreciated him especially for the roads opening in his works, for vastness and encyclopaedism, or for his patriotic activism. Realizing a historical perspective on how the Hasdean creation was received in different periods of time, we can see that the interest in the study of the Hasdean creation began quite late in the interwar period, although the scientist's literary works were explored by many of his contemporaries. In this respect we will remark that Hasdeu’s post-mortem literary creation will be spread out by the famous scholars, philologists, and historians who have updated it, specifying it in the history of literature, science, and Romanian culture. Keywords: the Hasdean personality and creation, Hasdeu's literary achievement, patriotic activism, divergent views. At certain stages of the evolution of artistic consciousness, in some literature, some names of authors, some book titles, some characters, and criticism of divergence of opinion only justify the prestige of literary values or the failure of others. It is a legacy through which all the generations and 40 Conferința-omagiu „Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu: Patrie, Onoare şi Ştiinţă” literary promotions, regularity related to appearances, gestures, and mimics of the phenomenon pass, which also reveal the complexity and essence of the artistic metamorphoses. -

NATIONAL Inventory of Active Intangible Cultural Heritage Elements – Abstract –
NATIONAL Inventory of Active Intangible Cultural Heritage Elements – abstract – I. Field: - Knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe; - Social practices, rituals and festive events; II. The element of intangible cultural heritage: Standard term: Oina game Local / regional names: local games types: ogoi, laptă, de-a lunga, fugă, matcă-mare, hâlcă, loptă-pilă, hapuc, hopaci, baci, baș, etc. Area of occurrence: The game of oina, in its standard form, is practiced throughout Romania. Currently, there are five oina county associations and 32 clubs: 12 of them in urban areas and 20 in rural areas. In certain rural communities (Dragu - Sălaj, Ciocănești - Suceava) the game of oina is practiced in the absence of an organized framework. The wooden bat and ball games, the starting point of oina, were present in the communities’ life in all the historical regions of Romania, with similar characteristics, but known by different names. For that matter, there are mentioned: hoina, ogoiul (in Bucovina), fuga (in southern Transylvania), de-a lunga (in the center of Transylvania), apuca, matca-mare (in Maramureș), hâlca, lopta-pila, hapucul, hopaciul (in the north of Transylvania), de-a patru să stăm, lopta-lungă, baciul, baș (in Banat). The game of oina is also present in the Republic of Moldova, where the competitive activity is organized by the Federation of Oina of the Republic of Moldova, established in 2003. Due to the efforts of the organizations involved, the game of oina is expanding internationally, being adopted by (non-Romanian) communities in India (where a National Oina Federation was established), Great Britain, Indonesia, or Nepal. -

Economic Role of the Roman Army in the Province of Lower Moesia (Moesia Inferior) INSTITUTE of EUROPEAN CULTURE ADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY in POZNAŃ
Economic role of the Roman army in the province of Lower Moesia (Moesia Inferior) INSTITUTE OF EUROPEAN CULTURE ADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY IN POZNAŃ ACTA HUMANISTICA GNESNENSIA VOL. XVI ECONOMIC ROLE OF THE ROMAN ARMY IN THE PROVINCE OF LOWER MOESIA (MOESIA INFERIOR) Michał Duch This books takes a comprehensive look at the Roman army as a factor which prompted substantial changes and economic transformations in the province of Lower Moesia, discussing its impact on the development of particular branches of the economy. The volume comprises five chapters. Chapter One, entitled “Before Lower Moesia: A Political and Economic Outline” consti- tutes an introduction which presents the economic circumstances in the region prior to Roman conquest. In Chapter Two, entitled “Garrison of the Lower Moesia and the Scale of Militarization”, the author estimates the size of the garrison in the province and analyzes the influence that the military presence had on the demography of Lower Moesia. The following chapter – “Monetization” – is concerned with the financial standing of the Roman soldiery and their contri- bution to the monetization of the province. Chapter Four, “Construction”, addresses construction undertakings on which the army embarked and the outcomes it produced, such as urbanization of the province, sustained security and order (as envisaged by the Romans), expansion of the economic market and exploitation of the province’s natural resources. In the final chapter, entitled “Military Logistics and the Local Market”, the narrative focuses on selected aspects of agriculture, crafts and, to a slightly lesser extent, on trade and services. The book demonstrates how the Roman army, seeking to meet its provisioning needs, participated in and contributed to the functioning of these industries. -

EDITORIAL ALIONA GRATI Institutul De Filologie Al
EDITORIAL ALIONA GRATI NEVOIA RECITIRII LUI PAUL GOMA Institutul de Filologie al AŞM Abstract This issue is dedicated to Paul Goma, a remarkable personality of the Romanian culture, a writer well-known all over the world. On the 2nd of October, 2010, the writer, born in Bessarabia, the Mana village, Orhei, celebrates his 75th anniversary. At this moment, his work encompasses over forty books written in Romanian and translated in several international languages. They represent for us an incontestable moral landmark. Questions which are being answered by the authors in this issue concern the fact whether the writer deserves to be placed on an honoured place in the culture he enriched and whether his creation had criticisms of the same level as his talent. We consider it our moral duty, as Paul Goma’s conationals, to honour and respect our national personalities, especially those who were unjustly persecuted and exiled from their motherland. Keywords: celebrated, writer, dissident, exile, spiritual presence. -
Curiozitati Istorice
