The adverts feature Ada Hegerberg, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo and amateur players and will run throughout the season to promote inclusion, diversity and accessibility in European Football with the motto "Everyone has the right to enjoy football, no matter who you are, where you're from, or how you play." More information on the campaign and on the advertisements can be found in the accompanying media release and on the campaign website: www.equalgame.com. Austria Wien have a reason to be concerned in their UEFA Europa League Group D opener as they welcome an AC Milan side out to complete their set of major UEFA club trophies. Previous meetings • The clubs are meeting for the first time in UEFA competition. • Austria have won only once in 12 encounters with Serie A opposition (W1 D5 L6 – W1 D2 L3 at home), that lone success a decisive 2-1 victory against Internazionale in the UEFA Cup third round in November 1983. • Milan have lost just one of their nine matches with Austrian opponents (W6 D2 L1 – W2 D1 L1 in Austria) – a 5-2 European Cup defeat at Rapid Wien in October 1957. Form guide • Austria are without a win in five European home games (D2 L3), and have not scored in both of their UEFA home fixtures this season – against AEL and Osijek in qualifying for this competition. • Milan have won all four of their 2017/18 UEFA matches without conceding, scoring ten goals in the process – at an average of 2.5 per game – against U Craiova and Shkëndija. • Last season's Austrian Bundesliga runners-up, Austria Wien have not survived their last five UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns since making it to the quarter-finals of the 2004/05 competition. • Sixth in Italy last term, Milan are making their first appearance in the UEFA Europa League group stage since they reached the round of 32 in the last-ever UEFA Cup in 2008/09. • This is the only major UEFA competition the Rossoneri have not won. Only Ajax, Bayern München, Chelsea, Juventus and – as of last May – Manchester United have won the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League and European Cup Winners' Cup. Links and trivia • The journey from Milan to Vienna is a little over 600km. • Austria Wien's Heiko Westermann and Milan's Hakan Çalhanoğlu were team-mates at Hamburg in 2013/14. • Milan's Nikola Kalinić was a losing UEFA Europa League finalist with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in 2015, his side going down 3-2 to Sevilla in Warsaw. The coaches • Austria Wien coach since 2015, Thorsten Fink won the 2001 UEFA Champions League and several Bundesliga titles as a Bayern midfielder, and secured back-to-back Swiss championships as coach of Basel from 2009–11. • In charge since June 2016, Vincenzo Montella has led Milan back into Europe for the first time since 2013/14. A Serie A winner as a striker with Roma in 2000/01, he has since coached Fiorentina and Sampdoria. 4 FK Austria Wien - AC Milan Thursday 14 September 2017 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit Ernst-Happel-Stadion, Vienna Team facts FK Austria Wien Formed: 1911 Nickname: Die Veilchen (The Violets) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup: (1978) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 24 (2013) Austrian Cup: 27 (2009) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: group stage 2015/16: did not take part in UEFA competition 2014/15: did not take part in UEFA competition 2013/14: UEFA Champions League group stage 2012/13: did not take part in UEFA competition 2011/12: group stage 2010/11: play-offs 2009/10: group stage 2008/09: first round 2007/08: group stage Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 10-0: Austria Wien v Aris Bonnevoie 28/09/83, UEFA Cup first round second leg • Biggest away win 0-5: Aris Bonnevoie v Austria Wien 14/09/83, UEFA Cup first round first leg • Heaviest home defeat 1-5 twice, most recently v AC Milan 14/09/17, UEFA Europa League group stage 0-4: Austria Wien v Juventus 24/10/90, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup second round first leg • Heaviest away defeat 7-0: Beroe Stara Zagora v Austria Wien 13/09/72, UEFA Cup first round first leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 10-0: Austria Wien v Aris Bonnevoie (see above) • Biggest away win 0-5: Aris Bonnevoie v Austria Wien (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 1-5: Austria Wien v AC Milan (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 7-0: Beroe Stara Zagora v Austria Wien (see above) AC Milan Formed: 1899 Nicknames: Rossoneri (Red and Blacks), Diavolo (Devil) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • European Cup (7): (1958), 1963, 1969, 1989, 1990, (1993), 1994, (1995), 2003, (2005), 2007 • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (2): 1968, 1973, (1974) • UEFA Super Cup (5): (1973), 1989, 1990, (1993), 1994, 2003, 2007 • European/South American Cup (3): (1963), 1969, 1989, 1990, (1993), (1994), (2003) 5 FK Austria Wien - AC Milan Thursday 14 September 2017 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit Ernst-Happel-Stadion, Vienna Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 18 (2011) Italian Cup: 5 (2003) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not compete in UEFA club competition 2015/16: did not compete in UEFA club competition 2014/15: did not compete in UEFA club competition 2013/14: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2012/13: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2011/12: UEFA Champions League quarter-finals 2010/11: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2009/10: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2008/09: round of 32 2007/08: UEFA Champions League round of 16 Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Milan v US Luxembourg 12/09/62, European Champion Clubs'
