Previous meetings • The clubs' first European encounter, in Vienna on matchday one, was a one-sided affair, Milan's new signing André Silva helping himself to a hat-trick in the Italian club's 5-1 win. • Milan have lost just one of their ten matches with Austrian opponents (W7 D2) – a 5-2 European Cup defeat at Rapid Wien in October 1957. • Austria have won only once in 13 encounters with Serie A opposition (D5 L7), a decisive 2-1 victory against Internazionale in the UEFA Cup third round in November 1983. Their last two matches in Italy have both been drawn. Form guide • Milan are unbeaten in their eight European matches this season (W6 D2), keeping six clean sheets. • The Rossoneri have not lost any of their last 17 matches in the UEFA Cup or UEFA Europa League. Their only home defeat in either competition during the last 30 years came in the 2001/02 fourth round, when they went down 1- 0 against Dutch club Roda JC – but concluded the evening by winning the tie on penalties. • Austria Wien have won seven of their last ten European away games, losing just one; they have won just two of their last ten at home, losing the last three. They have won three of their four UEFA fixtures outside Vienna this season, the only exception a 2-2 draw at AEK Athens in which they conceded a 90th-minute equaliser. • Sixth in Italy last term, Milan are back in Europe after a four-year absence and making their first appearance in the UEFA Europa League group stage. They reached the round of 32 in the last-ever UEFA Cup campaign of 2008/09. • Last season's Austrian Bundesliga runners-up, Austria Wien have not survived their last five UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns; they reached the quarter-finals in 2004/05. Links and trivia • The journey from Vienna to Milan is a little over 600km. • This is the only major UEFA competition the Rossoneri have not won. Ajax, Bayern München, Chelsea, Juventus and – as of last May – Manchester United are the only five clubs to have won the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League and UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. • Milan's Nikola Kalinić was a losing UEFA Europa League finalist with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in 2015, his side going down 3-2 to Sevilla in Warsaw. • Austria Wien's Heiko Westermann and Milan's Hakan Çalhanoğlu were team-mates at Hamburg in 2013/14. • Suspended for next match if booked: Manuel Locatelli (Milan). The coaches • In charge since June 2016, Vincenzo Montella has led Milan back into Europe for the first time since 2013/14. A Serie A winner as a striker with Roma in 2000/01, the former Italy international has since coached Fiorentina and Sampdoria. • Austria Wien coach since 2015, Thorsten Fink won the 2001 UEFA Champions League and four German Bundesliga titles as a Bayern midfielder. He also secured back-to-back Swiss Super League championships as coach of Basel from 2009–11. 5 AC Milan - FK Austria Wien Thursday 23 November 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Stadio San Siro, Milan Team facts AC Milan Formed: 1899 Nicknames: Rossoneri (Red and Blacks), Diavolo (Devil) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • European Cup (7): (1958), 1963, 1969, 1989, 1990, (1993), 1994, (1995), 2003, (2005), 2007 • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (2): 1968, 1973, (1974) • UEFA Super Cup (5): (1973), 1989, 1990, (1993), 1994, 2003, 2007 • European/South American Cup (3): (1963), 1969, 1989, 1990, (1993), (1994), (2003) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 18 (2011) Italian Cup: 5 (2003) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not compete in UEFA club competition 2015/16: did not compete in UEFA club competition 2014/15: did not compete in UEFA club competition 2013/14: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2012/13: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2011/12: UEFA Champions League quarter-finals 2010/11: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2009/10: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2008/09: round of 32 2007/08: UEFA Champions League round of 16 Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Milan v US Luxembourg 12/09/62, European Champion Clubs' Cup preliminary round first leg • Biggest away win 0-6 twice, most recently v København 20/10/93, UEFA Champions League second round first leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-2: seven times, most recently v Ajax 08/12/10, UEFA Champions League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 6-0: Ajax v Milan 16/01/74, 1973 UEFA Super Cup final second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 6-0: AC Milan v Shkëndija 17/08/17, play-offs first leg • Biggest away win 1-5: Austria Wien v AC Milan 14/09/17, group stage • Heaviest home defeat 0-2: AC Milan v Espanyol 21/10/87, second round first leg • Heaviest away defeat 4-0: Borussia Dortmund v AC Milan 04/04/02, semi-final first leg FK Austria Wien Formed: 1911 Nickname: Die Veilchen (The Violets) 6 AC Milan - FK Austria Wien Thursday 23 November 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Stadio San Siro, Milan UEFA club competition honours (runners-up

UNDER-21 CHAMPIONSHIP - 2019/21 SEASON MATCH PRESS KITS Stadion Ljudski vrt - Maribor Saturday 27 March 2021 21.00CET (21.00 local time) Spain Group B - Matchday 2 Italy Last updated 25/03/2021 18:10CET UEFA UNDER 21 OFFICIAL SPONSORS Match background 2 Legend 4 1 Spain - Italy Saturday 27 March 2021 - 21.00CET (21.00 local time) Match press kit Stadion Ljudski vrt, Maribor Match background The two most successful teams in UEFA European Under-21 Championship history meet at the Stadion Ljudski vrt in Maribor as Spain take on Italy in the second round of Group B games. • The sides have five titles apiece and have crossed swords in three finals, Spain prevailing in 1986 and 2013 and Italy coming out on top in 1996. Italy also beat Spain in the group stage two years ago, although it was Spain who went on to finish first in the section and ultimately take the title. • Spain hit the ground running on Matchday 1, second-half goals from Javier Puado (53), Gonzalo Villar (54) and Juan Miranda (89) earning an opening win against co-hosts Slovenia. A 75th-minute Giulio Maggiore own goal meant Italy had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic, Gianluca Scamacca having given them a first-half lead. The Azzurrini ended the game with nine men following the late dismissals of Sandro Tonali and Riccardo Marchizza. Previous meetings • This will be the sides' 11th European U21 Championship fixture. Each has four wins and scored 15 goals in those previous ten matches.
