D.T2.2.1 Partnership Slow Food / Coop Switzerland Involved partner: Diego Rinallo Kedge Business School This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Alpine Space programme. Abstract Coop is one of Switzerland’s largest retail and wholesale company, structured in the form of a cooperative society, with approximately 2,476 points of sale, and CHF 28.3 billion of revenues in 2016. Coop’s business principles stress giving preference to environment-friendly and socially responsible products, supporting Swiss agriculture, and favouring products made in Switzerland. Slow Food (SF) has been active in Switzerland since 1993. After a few episodic interactions, at the end of 2016 the two organisations established a long-term agreement to promote Swiss food culture and sustainable consumption. Through its Sustainability Fund, Coop financially supports SF and the establishment of SF presidia (21 of the 22 Swiss Presidia were established thanks to Coop’s financial and marketing support). In addition, Coop includes in its assortment a selection of 50 SF Presidia products (15 from Switzerland, the rest from other countries), including Traditional Valais rye bread, Farina Bona, raw milk Vacherin cheese, Chur salami, and mountain pasture Sbrinz. Given the limited quantities, seasonal unavailability, and lower profit margins of these products, Coop had to adapt its procurement procedures, and according to the retailer little or no returns are made from the sales of Presidia products. The cooperation has not only benefitted Presidia producers, but also boosted the visibility of SF in Switzerland.

    Projekt-Nummer 3733 Gemeinde Prato Leventina TI / Ausbau und energetische Sanierung des Kindergarten- gebäudes _________________________________________________________________________ Das Dorf Prato Leventina liegt auf der rechten Seite des Valle Leventina. Die Kirche von San Giorgio liegt etwas ausserhalb des Dorfes auf einem Hügel und dominiert mit ihrem romani- schen Campanile das ganze obere Tal bis Quinto. In einem Gebirgstalkessel im Westen der Gemeinde liegt auf eine Höhe von 1'851 m.ü.M. der Bergsee Lago Tremorgio, der von Frak- tion Rodi-Fiesso aus mit einer Seilbahn erreichbar ist. Zur Gemeinde gehören die Fraktionen Mascengo, Cortesopra, Rodi, Morasco, Fiesso Sopra und Fiesso Sotto und Corteflorino. Rodi-Fiesso liegt auf der Talsohle der Leventina und ist heute die am meisten bewohnte Ortschaft der Gemeinde sowie der Sitz aller öffentlichen Einrichtungen wie dem Gemeindehaus und der Schule. Die Gemeinde grenzt im Norden an Quinto, im Osten an Faido, im Süden an Dalpe und im Westen an Lavizzara. Eine erste Erwähnung findet das Dorf im Jahre 1211 unter dem damaligen Namen de Prato. Es erscheint bereits 1237 als "vicinia" und umfasste auch Dalpe. Das Dorf muss zur rodaria von Quinto, Airolo und Bedretto gehört haben. Ein Turm, der nach einigen Berichten vom Herzog Philipp Maria Visconti erstellt worden sein soll, wird schon 1397 erwähnt. Vor 1660 wurde er in ein Pfarrhaus umgebaut. Der Ort bildete das Zentrum einer Nachbarschaft, zu welcher die Degagne Prato, Fiesso und Dalpe zählten. In der Gemeinde steht auch der Da- zio Grande.

ARLT3 1Department of Earth Sciences, Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology, ETH Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland; 2Division of Geology and Geochemistry, Department of Geosciences and Geography, University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland; 3Lengnau, Switzerland ABSTRACT The chemical evolution of fluids in Alpine fissure veins (open cavities with large free-standing crystals) has been studied by combination of fluid inclusion petrography, microthermometry, LA-ICPMS microanalysis, and thermo- dynamic modeling. The quartz vein systems cover a metamorphic cross section through the Central Alps (Switzer- land), ranging from subgreenschist- to amphibolite-facies conditions. Fluid compositions change from aqueous inclusions in subgreenschist- and greenschist-facies rocks to aqueous–carbonic inclusions in amphibolite-facies rocks. The fluid composition is constant for each vein, across several fluid inclusion generations that record the growth history of the quartz crystals.

The english version of the AET 2017 Annual Report is merely a translation: the official version is the italian text. The Campus Formativo Bodio The images of the 2017 Annual Report illustrate the activi- ties of the Campus Formativo Bodio (CFB): a multi-company training centre for polymechanics and automation techni- cians apprentices, founded by AET and the major industries of the north of Ticino. Opened in spring 2017, the CFB is located in Bodio, next to the Vecchia Biaschina former power plant, the mechanical workshop of AET and the training centre of ESI (Elettricità della Svizzera Italiana). The CFB has a capacity of up to 32 apprentices divided in four apprenticeship years. The apprentices spend the first two education years in the centre and the second two years in one of the CFB’s partner companies. Among them beside AET are: Imerys Graphite&Carbon Switzerland SA, Tenconi SA, Tensol Rail SA and, from September 2018, the Azienda Cantonale dei Rifiuti (ACR).

    FAIDO MUSEO NELLA NATURA Ami la natura, ti piacciono le nostre mon- tagne, i laghi alpini, le gite fra abeti e la- rici, le scoperte di percorsi geologici e del- la diversità biologica, allora t’invitiamo a leggere l’appello che lanciamo affinché il Museo cantonale di Storia naturale, ora a Lugano, venga portato a Faido. Siamo ven- ti persone profondamente legate alla Leven- tina e lo abbiamo inviato al Consiglio di Stato il 22 settembre perché pensiamo che il luogo giusto per questo Museo, si trovi in mezzo alle nostre montagne a Faido, che si propone con gli spazi dei due grandi ex-al- berghi situati di fronte alla Stazione FFS. E’ importante che l’appello abbia un am- pio sostegno in valle e fra chi la ama. Pensiamo che tu sia fra queste persone e t’invitiamo quindi a sottoscriverlo.
