    1 2 3 Chapter Nine 4 5 6 4100–2700 B.C. 7 8 9 Monuments and Ideologies in the Neolithic Landscape 10 11 12 13 14 Johannes Müller 15 16 17 18 19 Abstract In northern central Europe and southern Scandinavia thousands of 20 megalithic monuments were constructed ca. 3600–3200 B.C. Which societies 21 erected them, and why? Were different ideologies responsible for different patterns 22 of social space, reflected in monumental constructions? Beside different types of 23 megalithic burial sites, causewayed enclosures were very important for the earliest 24 agriculturalists of northern Europe. They were placed in a landscape that went 25 through dramatic environmental changes. Within European society collective and 26 cooperative behavior changed through time into a pronunciation of individual 27 differences. Different architecture was used for the display of different social roles, 28 and in this sense megalithic constructions are a reflection of the need to express 29 stability in the relation between individuals and society, humans and nature. As 30 a consequence, the Neolithic mobility of ideas led to the formation of reorganized 31 space during the Funnel Beaker, or “TRB” (Trichterbecher), age, a reorganized 32 space that—as a social space—utilized the position of the ancestors for the posi- 33 tioning of the living. 34 35 36 Introduction 37 38 ne of the main questions of social anthropology concerns how social relations with‑ 39 Oin societies are created and confirmed.     SATZUNG über die Erhebung einer Kurabgabe in der Gemeinde Sylt in der Fassung des IV. Nachtrages vom 16.02.2017 Aufgrund des § 4 der Gemeindeordnung für Schleswig-Holstein - GO- und der §§ 1,2 und 10 des Kommunalabgabengesetzes des Landes Schleswig-Holstein (KAG) wird nach Beschlussfassung durch die Gemeindevertretung vom 16.02.2017 folgende IV. Nachtragssatzung zur Satzung über die Erhebung einer Kurabgabe in der Gemeinde Sylt vom 13. Dezember 2012 erlassen: § 1 Gegenstand der Abgabeerhebung Die Gemeinde Sylt ist für ihre Ortsteile Westerland, Tinnum, Keitum, Munkmarsch, Archsum, Morsum und Rantum als Kur- bzw. Erholungsort anerkannt. Sie erhebt in diesem Gebiet die Kurabgabe (§ 10 Abs. 1-4 KAG). § 2 Verwendungszweck Die Kurabgabe dient zur Deckung von 57,69% der Kosten, die der Gemeinde Sylt für die Herstellung, An- schaffung, Erweiterung, Unterhaltung und Verwaltung der zu Kur- und Erholungszwecken bereitgestellten öffentlichen Einrichtungen sowie für die dazu durchgeführten Veranstaltungen entstehen. Aus allgemeinen Deckungsmitteln (Gemeindeanteil) trägt die Gemeinde Sylt 2,33%. § 3 Begriffsbestimmung (1) Ortsfremd im Sinne dieser Satzung ist jede natürliche Person, die sich im Erhebungsgebiet aufhält, ohne dort ihren gewöhnlichen Aufenthalt zu haben. (2) Als ortsfremd im Sinne dieser Satzung gilt nicht, wer im Erhebungsgebiet arbeitet oder in Ausbildung steht und dies der Gemeinde Sylt, vertreten durch die Insel Sylt Tourismus-Service GmbH , durch eine Be- scheinigung der Arbeitsstelle oder des Ordnungsamtes der Gemeinde Sylt nachweist. (3) Kur- und Erholungseinrichtungen im Sinne dieser Satzung sind: die von der Gemeinde Sylt oder von der Insel Sylt Tourismus-Service GmbH 1. betriebenen öffentlichen Einrichtungen und 2. durchgeführten oder – zumindest mit – veranlassten Veranstaltungen, die ganz oder teilweise zu Kur- oder Erholungszwecken dienen.

    Atmospheric deposition of organic contaminants into the North Sea and the western Baltic Sea Summary The aim of this study was the assessment of the exchange processes of organic pollutants between the marine atmosphere and the surface seawater of the German EEZ, the wider North Sea and the Baltic Sea with emphasis upon the occurrence and contribution of atmospheric deposition to the seawater contamination. 87 organic pollutants, routinely monitored as surface seawater contaminants by the BSH, were targeted in this study. Concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), currently used pesticides (CUPs), perfluorinated compounds (PFCs), organophosphorus / brominated flame retardants and pharmaceuticals were simultaneously quantified in the surface seawater and the marine atmosphere during two research cruises in the German EEZ in May/Jun. 2009 and May 2010 as well as during a further research cruise in the North Sea in Aug./Sep. 2009. Air samples of the gaseous mass fraction of the Baltic Sea atmosphere of April 2009 were provided by the University of Hamburg. Air samples were collected using high-volume active air samplers operated on the top deck of the respective research vessels. Furthermore, PUF disk passive air samples were exposed at an urban land based sampling site (Sülldorf/Hamburg) and at a rural coastal sampling site (Tinnum/Sylt) between October 2009 and December 2010, respectively. Moreover, PUF disks were installed at the FINO research platforms in the German EEZ in various heights above sea level. Seasonal and vertical fluctuations of atmospheric concentrations could be successfully monitored by passive air sampling providing further indications of sources, occurrences and distributions of the organic pollutants in the marine atmosphere.
