Jan. 14 - Georgia Tech 80, UNC 73 Georgia Tech held off a valiant North Carolina comeback to record an 80-73 victory. Carolina took its first lead of the game, 57-56, on two Jamie Cherry free throws with 2.5 seconds left in the third quarter. The Tar Heels scored the first four points of the final quarter and led 61-56 after trailing the first 29 min- utes, 27 seconds.
