ATS, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this month, is touring the UK in a 1965 Jensen CV8 – a nod to the year the company was founded – and will be visiting the centre on Mold Road on Wednesday 26th August at 10am, with people welcome to come along and view the iconic car. David Blakeley has now decided to mark the occasion further by inviting owners of classic cars in the area to join in the celebrations, bringing along their vehicles and showcasing the way motoring has evolved over the past five decades to the public. David Blakeley said: “This is quite a milestone in the company’s history and we’re very excited to be visited as part of a classic car tour of the UK. We thought, what better way to celebrate than invite other classic car enthusiasts to join us and share photos and stories of the last fifty years. “Whether you’re the owner of a classic car or simply an enthusiast, people are welcome to come along on Wednesday 26th August and see the CV8 as it visits us as part of the UK tour.” The ATS tour will begin in Glasgow and work its way down to Winchester – the location of the first ATS centre, established in 1965.
