SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

● Student Council Candy Sales now through Oct 31 in the middle school hallway. All ​ items are $1 or less!

● The church East and West Parking lot will be closed for repairs and resurfacing on October 24 & 25. We have been told the East parking lot will be closed Wednesday, and ​ the East & West Parking lots will be closed Thursday! ○ Wednesday ■ PM--Should be the same as Tuesday--Double lines from the cones and zipper into one line as you reach the cones. ○ Thursday ■ PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. SAFETY FIRST! A lot of traffic will be using one entrance to enter and exit. PLEASE be patient and careful! AM: Carline drop off--Enter from the ​ South Cox Road entrance. Pull straight ahead to the left of the parking lot and circle around the south parking lot so that you end up at the school entrance like normal carline drop off! Walkers--enter & exit from the South ​ ​ Cox Rd entrance. Park and walk with your child to the curb! ■ PM: Noon dismissal--NO CARLINE PICKUP--WALKERS ONLY. Please park in available spaces and line up behind the numbered cones. We will dismiss students to your cone.

● Original Artworks Orders are due by Monday October 29th. Don’t pass up on ​ ​ one-of-a-kind personal gifts for Christmas. All artwork will be returned! Please send back art even if you choose not to order for display purposes. Thank you! Contact Julie Straus for questions: [email protected]

● All school doors will remain locked for after school clubs. The teacher will walk the students to the South door at the end of the club. If you need to pick up your child earlier, please call Primetime’s site phone at 417-353-9384 and they will notify the teacher.

● Baby Bottles for Lifehouse Crisis Maternity: Kindergarten & First Grade are in the lead for the class competition! ALL Bottles with coins, or without, should be ​ brought back to school on Tuesday, October 30. All Baby Bottles need to be returned. ​ ​ There is a poster in the cafeteria window that tracks each class’s donations. The winning class will earn a pizza party, and will visit Lifehouse next February.

● STEM is November 8th & 15th after school until 4:45 (No more in October) ​

● Did you know? Often overshadowed by the two days preceding it, (Oct. 31) ​ ​ ​ ​ and All Saints Day (Nov. 1), All Souls Day is a solemn celebration in the Roman ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Catholic Church commemorating all of those who have died and are now in Purgatory, being cleansed of their venial sins and the temporal punishments for the mortal sins that they had confessed, and being made pure before entering into the presence of God in Heaven.

Keep sending in your Box Tops! Be sure they are in a baggie/envelope ​ with your child’s name, grae, & number of valid Box Tops inside! Students earn an out of uniform pass for every 25 “good” Box Tops they submit!

Friday, October 26th at SEAS!

Join us for trick-or-treating, delicious food provided by the Men’s Club and tons of fun provided by St. Eligius Guild!. A $1 per child donation is appreciated.

Put on a really great costume and decorate your car, truck or van to win the BEST TRUNK CONTEST. Please bring candy or trinkets to pass out to as many as 400 trick-or-treaters.

Trunk-Set-Up starts at 6:00 PM Event starts at 6:30 PM (come early as entrances/exits will be blocked at start time to insure the safety of the little goblins.)

PARISH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM 8:00AM to 2:00 PM

Our vendor crafts this year include many handcrafted items: embroidery, knitted and crocheted items, painted wood and glass items, crafted wood pens, photo magnets and clocks, jewelry, Christmas items and ornaments, gowns, pottery, baby items, wooden toys, roasted nuts, handmade rugs, quilling crafts, handmade soaps, acrylic paintings, wrap jewelry, quilting items, florals, gourds, shell jewelry, along with products by Jordan Essentials, PartyLite Candles and Décor, Tupperware and Scentsy

The BAKE SALE and RAFFLE TICKETS Nana’s Kettle Korn and Lion’s Club Pecans and Walnuts will be in the hallway outside the Café

On the way to the Dining Room, look for crocheted items, blanket toy aprons, repurposed metal/wood items, honey, Ukrainian Eggs, Advent Candles, Free Spinal Screenings by Mitchell Chiropractic, and Peg Dolls

LUNCH-BBQ Sandwiches, Frito Pies, Hot Dogs, and more. Vendor crafts including gourmet coffee and tea, aprons, zip bags, bowl cozies, bucket hats, wood carvings, necklaces, paper crafts and Chip Board Albums, afghans, dish rags, quilts, doilies, inspirational jewelry, acrylic painted items, handmade candles and melts, Whirlygigs, wreaths, lanterns, centerpieces and wooden signs. Look for African baskets (Saturday only), handmade items by survivors of trafficking, Soroptimist International raffle tickets, pecans and candy bars in the hallway outside Dining Room

 Pick up a PASSPORT as you enter the Gym or Dining Room.

 Have it marked off by vendors you visit.  Drop it in box in Dining Room when you leave - you are eligible to win a prize!  The more vendors you visit, the greater opportunity to win!

Proceeds support St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Building Fund, support for seminarians, LifeHouse and needs that arise within our parish.
