2019 HNC Annual Meeting in Charlotte WINTER 2018 Save The Date Volunteer Event 2019 HNC Annual Meeting in January 12 Charlotte Morrisville, NC March 2, 2019 “Hearts for Hemophilia” Charlotte, NC Casino Night January 26 Hemophilia of North Carolina (HNC) will host Durham, NC its 46th Annual Meeting on March 2, 2019, in Charlotte. The Annual Meeting is HNC’s largest Factor 7 Round Table one-day educational event with sessions geared February 2 towards all ages, backgrounds, bleeding disorders, Morrisville, NC and relationships within the community. Director, Student Health Promotion University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Introduction Since 1989, institutions of higher education (IHE) have been required to adopt and implement programs to prevent unlawful possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and illicit drugs by students and employees, through the amendment of 34 CFR Part 86, the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Regulations. Compliance with Part 86 is mandatory to maintain the receipt of any federal funds or financial assistance under any federal program. To ensure that the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is compliant with these guidelines, a task force was established to complete a biennial review as outlined in Part 86 for the years 2002-2004. The task force was assembled from a variety of constituencies across the UWSP campus to insure that the highest number of groups was represented in this process. This included faculty, academic staff, union employees, and student representatives from both the Student Government Association and the Residence Hall Association which met together on a monthly basis to identify the various areas to be reviewed, and make recommendations on findings. Materials reviewed included items such as the current edition of the Community Rights & Responsibilities, the Classified Employee Handbook, the Residential Living Handbook, student and employee conduct records, and alcohol and other drug (AOD) programming efforts for students and faculty/staff.

The cameraman sees them getting engaged before anyone in the office has a clue. Even the news of their pregnancy is witnessed first by the camera crew. Jim and Pam’s boss, Michael, and other employees, such as Dwight, Angela and others, also share this trend of self-disclosure to the cameraman. They reveal secrets and embarrassing stories to the cameraman, showing a private side of themselves that most of their co-workers never see. First the term “mock-documentary” is explained before specifically discussing the The Office. Next the terms and theories from scholarly sources that relate the topic of self-disclosure to strangers are reviewed. Consequential strangers, weak ties, the stranger- on-a-train phenomenon, and para-social interaction are studied in relation to the development of a new listening stranger theory.

It was a very moving sight to see the fire department, police de- partment and first responder vehi- cles in our parking lot last Sunday morning. The sky was as cloudless and clear blue as it was sixteen years ago on September 11, 2001. Our First Responders were all here for the “Blue Mass” which we cele- brated at our 10:00am Mass last Sunday.
