Chinese companies have often over paid their international acquisitions, and have difficulties to assess the accurate value of their prospective acquisitions as they tend to underestimate the importance of thorough due diligence and on many occasions their assessment is often made on the basis of Chinese practices and criteria. The difficulty turns to be more complicated for the more market volatility recently. What key elements to take into account for the proper valuation of target companies? All of these imply a new talent strategy to attract those of intercultural understandings, capabilities to leverage technology development and to operate a new venture in a diverse cultural environment.
