    EVENTS AND CONFERENCES Marek Świdrak* European Heritage Label: Changes, Challenges & Perspectives Kraków-Łużna, 17-19 September 2018 The year 2018 has been declared by the European Parliament and Council of the European Union as the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH). In Poland, 300 sites and/or events were granted the auspices of the EYCH. The main event pre- pared within this framework by the Polish National Coor- dinator of the project – the International Cultural Centre in Kraków (ICC) – was the conference “European Heritage Label: Changes, Challenges & Perspectives”. The organization of this three-day-long event, which took place in Kraków and Łużna on 17-19 September 2018, was supported by the De- partment of Restoration of Kraków’s Monuments and Nation- al Heritage of the Małopolska Provincial Office and the Łużna Municipality, with financial support from the Ministry of Cul- ture and National Heritage. 2018 (4) In accordance with the title of the event, its main objective 2 was to gather experiences connected to the European Herit- Nr age Label (EHL) programme, present the research on the topic, and identify the available and eligible tools for improving upon its current state. It is off the beaten track, far from cities and main tourist attractions. In the region there are Austro- Hungarian cemeteries from World War I, where soldiers killed in Gorlice Battle are buried. Also, a number of old Orthodox, Greek Catholic and Catholic churches are situated right in Gorlice area. Low Beskid Low Beskid is an extensive mountainous region in the south- east Poland. In Low Beskid you can find stone crosses and roadside chapels located in unexpected places. You can find wooden churches, surrounded by cemeteries in abandoned villages. Also, there are the WW1 cemeteries, reminding us about the history of this land. Biecz is one of the oldest towns in the south of Poland. It was founded in 1257. It was a royal town, surrounded with defensive stone walls. Biecz lies on the river Ropa, it is often called „Little Carcassonne” thanks to its medieval walls, preserved until present times. The village of Bartne Bartne is located about 20 km from Gorlice and 15 km from the border with Slovakia. The village is very long, about 7 kilometers, situated in a valley. It is inhabited by Lemko people. In Bartne there are two wooden churches, traditional houses, a parochial and a war cemetery and several roadside crosses reminding us of people from the past. The village of Bielanka Bielanka is a village where the inhabitants used to produce birch tar, a medicine used for healing.

    Informacja o stanie bezpieczeństwa i porządku publicznego na terenie Gminy Biecz za rok 2020 Biecz, dnia 30 marca 2021 roku Największe zagrożenia dla Gminy Biecz: POWÓDŹ POŻAR SUSZA Głównym zagrożeniem w 2020 roku było rozprzestrzenianie się na całym świecie, również w Polsce oraz na terenie Gminy Biecz choroby zakaźnej jaką jest COVID – 19 wywołanej przez wirusa SARS– CoV – 2. Pandemia COVID-19 W dniu 9 stycznia Światowa Organizacja Zdrowia (WHO) ogłosiła, że w chińskim Wuhan występuje tajemnicze zapalenie płuc związane z zakażeniem niepoznanym dotąd koronawirusem. Dzień 4 marca 2020 roku można uznać za datę, w której oficjalnie koronawirus dotarł do Polski. Potem wydarzenia rozwijały się bardzo szybko. 11 marca rząd zdecydował o zamknięciu placówek oświatowych, a dzień później dowiedzieliśmy się o pierwszej w Polsce śmiertelnej ofierze COVID- 19. 20 marca na terenie Polski wprowadzono stan epidemii i kolejne obostrzenia. Miesiąc później rząd przystąpił do stopniowego złagodzenia wybranych restrykcji. Sytuacja zaczęła się wyraźnie pogarszać od sierpnia, a dniem, w którym pierwszy raz przekroczyliśmy liczbę tysiąca zakażonych, był 19 września. To był początek jesiennej fali epidemii, która trwała do początku grudnia. Okres ten zapamiętamy jako smutny czas rekordów w liczbie zakażeń i zgonów. Drugiego grudnia 2020 roku, liczba zakażeń przekroczyła milion. Pandemia COVID-19 Pierwsze stwierdzone przypadki zachorowania na COVID-19: ● 4 marca 2020 roku w Polsce; ● 8 marca 2020 roku w Małopolsce; ● 23 marca 2020 roku w powiecie gorlickim; ● 23 marca 2020 roku w Gminie Biecz. Pierwsze 3 przypadki zakażenia koronawirusem w powiecie gorlickim to rodzina z Libuszy. Wg stanu na dzień 30 marca na terenie Gminy Biecz było: 72 osoby w kwarantannach domowych, 4 osoby w kwarantannie zbiorowej na ulicy Parkowej, 12 osób w kwarantannie zbiorowej Belna Górna 25.
