Hollister Construction Services was engaged by Heritage Capital Group to provide construction management services for the transformation of two existing office buildings into residential aparment buildings in the center of downtown, Hackenack, NJ.
210 Main Street, a notable art-deco bank building, previously occupied by Bank of America and vacant for several years, is being transformed into a 100,000sf residential apartment building. As one of the city’s tallest and most architecturally significant structures, 210 Main Street is being gutted and renovated while the facade and exterior is being preserved. The 10-story building will be extended vertically with a newly constructed 11th floor, providing a total of 90 new residential apartments. The building’s existing penthouse will be converted into three duplex apartments with exterior private balconies overlooking New York City to the east and Hackensack to the west. The building will also have two retail spaces at street level.
210 Main Street’s new community will have access to exterior amenity space, along with interior common amenity spaces. Key common area amenities include a lobby reception, WiFi lounge, valet parking and porte-cochere, multi-function and game room, convenience store and a private fitness facility. The basement level will provide additional spaces, such as, secure private storage compartments, bike storage room and laundry room.
214 Main Street, a four-story building, is being renovated to offer a total of 37 residential apartment units. It wil be inter connected with a new walkway bridge leading into the fitness facility in building 210. Its basement will provide in house private storage space and laundry room.
