Selection Notification II level IMPLANT DENTISTRY A.A. 2021/2022 The Master’s Degree Program ‘ Master in Implant Dentistry’ (UMID) is designed for the general dentist who has already taken the first step towards the field of implantology. You have already placed implants and now want to develop your practical skills and build up solid, scientific knowledge in order to provide safe, appropriate and efficient treatments. The 18 months modular graduate degree program takes your time constraints and job responsibilities into consideration. You have to travel six times to University center in Versilia during your course of studies. Each stay lasting between 4 and 6 days: you'll have lessons, hands-on courses and live surgeries thus grow through input from our international faculty, guest lectures and fellow students. After successful completion of the program, graduates will receive the academic title of “Second level Master of in Implant Dentistry”. The graduates will be able to independently plan and implement therapy concepts for the treatment of patients requiring dental implant prosthetics. In addition, graduates will also have the skills required to select, analyse and fully integrate into their own practice a full range of treatments and knowledge in this field of dental implantology. Through lessons on theory and hands-on participation activities the Masters course aims to help the student acquire specific proficiency and clinical experience in laser wavelengths principally used in dentistry. The clinical experience activities will be held in the new department of laser therapy and surgery, with live operations on patients performed by participants under the guidance and supervision of teachers. The course concludes with a Master's thesis on topics of implant that will prepare the student during the year and will discuss at the end of the course.

Title Implant Dentistry

Duration: The Master's program lasts 18 months and includes a total time of 2250 hours, divided into: •practical activity and lectures and seminars; •internship ( 1000 hours ); •study and individual preparation activities including the preparation of the final exam.

Requirements One of the following degree titles are required to be admitted to the Professional Master Program (or near graduation by the Master enrolment deadline):

•Master’s degree and / or specialist degree in dentistry and dental prosthesis; •Master’s degree and/ or specialist degree in medicine and surgery with specialization in Dentistry or qualification for the practice of dentistry; • Master’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.

Other candidates who can also apply: Candidates in possession of an equivalent to those listed above obtained in a foreign University. Candidates in possession of an Academic Degree obtained abroad and equivalent in duration and content to those listed above. The University reserves the right to admit candidates with different qualifications but relevant to the Master’s course.

The foreign qualification must be accompanied by an official translation, legalization and declaration of value issued by the Italian Embassy or General Consulate competent for the country in which the qualification was produced.

The aforementioned requirements must be submitted before the Master enrollment deadline.

For lack of the compulsory requirements, the Teaching Secretariat may order, at any time and with a motivated provision, the exclusion from the Master.

Enrollment in the UniCamillus course is incompatible with other enrollment in degree courses, such as Bachelors, Masters, graduate schools and PhDs.

Procedures and The application must be received, signed and written on plain paper, as well as written Terms of clearly and legibly, using the form available on the web site, by 10/01/22:

The following documents must be attached to the application: • a dated and signed curriculum vitae et studiorum european format; • photocopy of an identity card; • any other academic titles that the candidate wishes to submit for the admission;

• Statement of having read the information regarding the personal data treatment based to art.13 and 14 in accordance with the European legislation (UE) 2016/679

• Photocopy of fiscal code or health insurance card (for Italian citizens and foreigners in possession of it).

• For candidates in possession of equivalent qualifications to those required: substitutive declaration of certification, pursuant to art. 46 of D.P.R.28/12/2000,n. 445, certifying the achievement of the aforementioned titles in accordance with current legislation;

• Candidates in possession of an academic title obtained in a foreign country will have to present the “Declaration of studies abroad” using the form available on the web site. Within 2 months from the beginning of the Professional Master Course, the candidates will have to provide to the student secretariat the original of the Official Italian translation of the Full Qualifications of Legalization and of the Declaration of Value issued by the Italian Embassy or General Italian Consulate competent for the territory in the country in which the title was produced.

• Payment copy of the participation fee of the first instalment: €3.000 by 10/01/2022

Partecipation Fee The partecipation fee is 9.000 Euros to be payed in 3 equal amount installments: • First installment: Euro 3000 by 10/01/22 • Second installment: Euro 3000 by 10/07/22 • Third installment: Euro 3000 by 10/01/23

Failure to pay the installments within the established terms will block the student’s didactic activities. Hence, this will result in a non-admission to the final exam and, thus, a failure to earn the degree.

The student is required to pay the remaining installments even if an interruption of his didactic activities will occur.

The student can exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days from the payment date of the first installment, by sending, within the aforementioned deadlines, a registered email to the following address [email protected]. In this case, the relative reimbursement will be made within 30 days from the student's communication. Moreover, 10% of the amount paid will be retained as a penalty.

The Master will only be activated if a minimum number of participants is reached. In the event that the Master does not begin due to failure to reach the minimum number, the University will refund the entire amount paid without withholding anything as a penalty.

The candidates' data will be processed in compliance with national and EU legislation on the protection of personal data (consult the information on the University website)
