Ein Fixpunkt im Veranstaltungskalender Tel Avivs ist das im Herbst stattfindende Fotografiefestival PHOTO IS:RAEL. Das Festival steht dieses Jahr unter dem Motto "Transformationen" und beschreitet neue Wege. Die Ausstellungen finden im öffentlichen Raum im Freien statt und werden von einem reichhaltigen digitalen Programm begleitet. Das Festival ist erstmals als Wanderausstellung konzipiert; die Ausstellungen werden bis ins Jahr 2021 noch an weiteren Orten in Israel zu sehen sein. Aus Österreich ist die aufstrebende Foto- Künstlerin Stefanie Moshammer mit der Ausstellung I'll Remember to Forget vertreten.

The photography festival PHOTO IS:RAEL, is a regular highlight on Tel Aviv's event calendar. The festival runs under the theme "transformations" and is breaking new ground. The exhibitions will take place outdoors in the public sphere. They will be accompanied by a rich digital program. For the first time, the festival is designed as a traveling exhibition; the works will be shown in other Israeli towns and cities in Israel as well. Austria will be represented by the emerging photo artist Stefanie Moshammer with her exhibit I'll Remember to Forget.

פסטיבל הצילום PHOTO IS:RAEL הוא אחד מגולות הכותרת הקבועים בלוח אירועי הסתיו של תל אביב. נושא הפסטיבל פורץ הדרך השנה הוא "טרנספורמציות". התערוכות מתקיימות בחוץ במרחבים ציבוריים ומלוות בתכנית דיגיטלית עשירה. לראשונה עוצב הפסטיבל כתערוכה נודדת: התערוכות תוצגנה במקומות שונים ברחבי הארץ עד לשנת 2021. אמנית הצילום העולה, שטפני מוזהאמר תייצג את אוסטריה בתערוכה אני אזכור לשכוח.

Loving Art. Making Art. Festival feat. hanging around by Michael Kienzer (12.-14.11.2020; Tel Aviv)

Für das Loving Art. Making Art. Festival öffnen viele von Tel Avivs Galerien, Museen, Ausstellungsflächen und Artist Studios jedes Jahr ihre Tore, um Tel Avivs Liebe für Kunst und Kreativität zu demonstrieren. Dieses Jahr findet das Festival aufgrund der Pandemie ausschließlich im Freien statt und zieht sich als Parcours durch die ganze Stadt. Die Installation hanging around von Michael Kienzer ist als österreichisches Projekt im Rahmen eines Festivalschwerpunkts auf europäische Kultur mit dem Titel Open Skies an zwei Standorten zu sehen. Die Installation besteht aus Hängematten, die zum Verweilen einladen.

Every year for the Festival Loving Art. Making Art. many of Tel Aviv's galleries, museums, artist studios and general exhibition spaces open their doors to the public, in order to demonstrate Tel Aviv's love for art and creativity. At this year's edition, the festival - due to the pandemic - will take place exclusively outdoors along a fixed route through the city. Michael Kienzer's installation hanging around represents Austria's project in a festival focus on European art titled Open Skies and can be visited at two venues. The installation consists of hammocks which invite to linger.

כל שנה בפסטיבל אוהבים אמנות. עושים אמנות., נפתחים שערי הגלריות, המוזיאונים, סטודיו של אמנים, וחללי תערוכות שונים בתל אביב בכדי להפגין את אהבתה של העיר לאמנות וליצירתיות. השנה, בגלל המגיפה, יתקיים הפסטיבל אך ורק בחוץ, לאורך מסלול קבוע מראש בתוך העיר. המיצב hanging around של מיכאל קינצר מייצג את הפרויקט האוסטרי בפסטיבל שנקרא שמיים פתוחים אשר מתמקד באמנות אירופאית ואותו ניתן לראות בשני מיקומים. המיצב מורכב מערסלים שמזמינים אתכם להתעכב ולשהות.

TLV Fest feat. Austrian Cinema (12.-21.11.2020)

Das TLV Fest wurde dieses Jahr von Juni auf November verlegt. Das Filmfestival gibt einen faszinierenden Einblick in die internationale und israelische LGBT- Filmszene und bietet in seiner digitalen Ausgabe eine eigene Kategorie mit österreichischen Filmen an. Neben der Weltpremiere von Another Europe von Sangam Sharma sind auch Nevrland von Gregor Schmidinger, Siebzehn von Monja Art und der Kurzfilm Fabiu von Stefan Langthaler vertreten.

This year, the TLV Fest was postponed from June to November. The film festival offers a fascinating insight into the international and Israeli LGBT film scene. In a separate category of the digital edition, Austrian movies will be screened. Besides the world premiere Another Europe by Sangam Sharma, Nevrland by Gregor Schmidinger, Seventeen by Monja Art and Fabiu by Stefan Langthaler are part of the program.

הפסטיבל הבינלאומי לקולנוע גאה נדחה השנה מיוני לנובמבר. פסטיבל הסרטים מביא תובנה מרתקת לסצינת סרטי הלהט"ב הבינלאומית והישראלית, ומציע סרטים אוסטריים בקטגוריה נפרדת של המהדורה הדיגיטלית שלו. בנוסף לבכורה העולמית של אירופה אחרת מאת סנגם שארמה, מיוצגים גם נברלנד מאת גרגור שמידינגר, שבע עשרה מאת מוניה ארט ופאביו מאת סטפן לאנגטאלר.

The Kelsen Legacy: Reflections upon the Centennial to the Austrian Constitution (11.11.2020)

Das österreichische Bundes- Verfassungsgesetz feierte am 1. Oktober den 100. Jahrestag seines Beschlusses. Hans Kelsen, einer der bedeutendsten Rechtswissenschaftler des 20. Jahrhunderts, wird oft als dessen Architekt bezeichnet. In der hochkarätig besetzten digitalen Veranstaltung des Zentrums für österreichische Studien an der Hebräischen Universität zum "Erbe Kelsens" sind u.a. die österreichische Bundesministerin für EU und Verfassung, Karoline Edtstadler, mit Grußworten und Prof. Clemens Jabloner, Österreichischer Vizekanzler a.D., Professor für Rechtstheorie an der Universität Wien und Direktor des Hans Kelsen Instituts mit einem Vortrag vertreten.

On the 1st of October, we marked the Centennial to the Austrian Federal Constitution Law. Hans Kelsen, one of most important jurists of the 20th century, is often referred to as the "architect of the constitution". In the high-ranking digital event organized by the Center for Austrian Studies at Hebrew University on the subject of Kelsen’s legacy, Karoline Edtstadler, the Austrian Federal Minister for the EU and Constitution at the Federal Chancellery, will present greetings and Prof. Clemens Jabloner, fomer Austrian Vice- Chancellor, Professor for Legal Theaory at the University of Vienna and Director of the Hans Kelsen Institute will follow with a lecture.

ב- 1 באוקטובר חגגה החוקה הפדרלית האוסטרית 100 שנה להיווסדה. המשפטן הנס קלזן, אחד המשפטנים החשובים במאה ה- 20, מכונה לעיתים קרובות " אדריכל החוקה". באירוע דיגיטלי משובץ כוכבים שמאורגן על ידי המרכז ללימודי אוסטריה באוניברסיטה העברית בנושא "מורשת קלזן", ישתתפו, בין היתר, קרולינה אדטשטאדלר - השרה הפדרלית האוסטרית לאיחוד האירופי ולחוקה שתפתח בברכות והפרופסור קלמנס יבלונר, סגן קנצלר אוסטריה לשעבר, פרופסור לתיאוריה משפטית באוניברסיטת ווינה ומנהל מכון הנס קלזן.

Die österreichische Journalistin Maria Sterkl (Auslandskorrespondentin der österreichischen Tageszeitung Der Standard) wird ein Salon-Gespräch des Goethe Instituts Israel mit dem Biografen Yitzhaks Rabins, Prof. Itamar Rabinovich und der israelisch- amerikanischen Journalistin Mairav Zonszein moderieren. In der Diskussion wird nicht nur auf die Bedeutung des israelischen Staatsmannes eingehen, sondern auch einen Bogen in die Gegenwart schlagen und einen Blick auf die Auswirkungen der aktuellen US- Wahl werfen.

The Austrian journalist Maria Sterkl (foreign correspondent for the Austrian daily Der Standard) will moderate a discussion organized by Goethe Institute Israel with Yitzhak Rabin's biographer, Prof. Itamar Rabinovich and the Israeli-American journalist Mairav Zonszein. The discussion will not only reflect the importance of the Israeli statesman, but also draw a line into the present and take a look at the impact of the current US election.
