The information in this guide relates to the school year beginning September 2021. It is primarily aimed at pupils transferring to middle school at the end of Year 4, secondary school at the end of Year 6, and upper school at the end of Year 8. The guide also includes information on applying to transfer to a university technical college or studio school at the end of Year 9. When the guide refers to ‘secondary’ school, this will mean secondary, middle or upper school unless otherwise differentiated. The normal admissions round is defined as the period when parents are invited to make an on-time application for transfer to secondary school and a determination is made by the authority on the national offer date. The information was correct in September 2020 and is subject to change during the academic year 2020-21. Responsibility for information printed here relating to academies, voluntary aided schools, free schools, university technical colleges or studio schools lies with the governing body of the school concerned, and not with the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council or Achieving for Children.
