BC) 20TH ANNIVERSARY Evening anniversary activities at St. Paul Cultural Center. Sun. Oct.20 Morning worship at SPCC & afternoon activities at church. The Church Board is pleased to send our Pastor, Dr. Rob & Amy Renberg to Turkey to Evening Formal Dinner Event for 20th Anniversary of SPCC. represent Anchor Point Bible (Berean) Church as the sending and first supporting church of Jim and Renata Bultema (Grandson of church founder Harry Bultema). The Mon. Oct.21 Travel home to America! Bultema’s have been serving as missionaries with TEAM in Turkey since 1990. SPCC began in 1999 and many others will be joining the 3 day celebration on Oct.18-20. Pastor Rob will be presenting greetings and a message from our church and will be giving SPCC a gift celebrating their anniversary. The Bultema’s will also lead a tour of the Seven Churches of Revelation before the anniversary weekend. Jim & Joyce Webb are also going, along with many friends of the Bultema’s ministry from the USA, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Switzerland, England, and Colombia, all traveling to the ancient biblical sites. Please pray for safety in travel and for a fruitful tour and visit that will surely enhance our pastor’s ministry for years to come! Fri. Oct.11 Travel from Grand Rapids to Chicago to Turkey Sat. Oct.12 Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to the Mövenpick Golden Horn Hotel for dinner and lodging. Enjoy the lovely view of the historic Golden Horn, the inlet of the Bosporus Strait. Sun. Oct.13 Among the highlights of Istanbul: the Blue Mosque, Bosporus Strait, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Milion, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar. Mon. Oct.14 Travel to Izmir, followed by a visit to Ephesus. Lodging will be on the shore of the Aegean Sea (where we may swim!). Tue. Oct.15 Visit the ancient Agora of Smyrna, dating back to the Hellenistic Era. Travel to the Acropolis & Asklepion (medical center) of Pergamum. Wed. Oct.16 See the small ruins of Thyatira. Sardis has spectacular remains, with the most impressive of all synagogues from antiquity. Thur. Oct.17 Visiting the ruins of Philadelphia, and then the magnificent remains of Laodicea and Hierapolis. Soak our feet in the thermal travertines at Pamukkale, and then bathe in the thermal pools that evening. Fri. Oct.18 Enjoy the tell of Colossae, home of Epaphras, Philemon, & Onesimus. Take the scenic drive to the Mediterranean coast and Antalya, where the weekend anniversary for the St. Paul Cultural Center takes place. .
