RELIVE HISTORY IN A TRADITIONAL LOCATION

Benefit from the exclusive historic event location ‘Historic Villa Metzler’, built in 1803, which can host up to 150 people for a cocktail reception and up to 40 for seated dinners. This traditional building belongs to the Museum of Applied Arts, only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. It is peacefully surrounded by a park on the banks of the river Main. Experience an unforgettable location at the Senckenberg Natural History Museum, one of Germany‘s largest collections of this kind. Frank Lehmann will take you on a journey through the financial world and explain our complex financial structure in a plain and understandable way. A passionate and very talented speaker, Frank Lehmann will captivate your delegates with his excellent media skills. He is well known for his time as presenter of the daily stock exchange programme on the German channel ‘ARD’ from 2000–2006. Currently he presents his own TV show ‘Ask Lehmann’ and acts as a columnist for various radio stations as well as printed media. EXPERIENCE A NIGHT FULL OF CREATIVITY AT THE HOECHSTER PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY

Discover the secrets of porcelain making and take a look behind the scenes of the renowned ‘Hoechster Porcelain Manufactory’, which has been producing porcelain for more than 260 years. With its benchmark protected industrial building of 1906 the Hoechster Porcelain Manufactory offers a unique backdrop to any event. Your delegates will get to learn some of the secrets of porcelain manufacturing from the start to finish of the production line. Additionally your participants can try out moulding under the guidance of a professional craftsman. The Hoechster Porcelain Manufactory is located just 15 minutes from the InterContinental Frankfurt and comfortably hosts events for up to 120 people.

Enjoy a break with Frankfurt’s famous ‘Green Sauce’

Green Sauce was the favourite meal of Frankurt’s famous son, the 18th century poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Frankfurt’s traditional recipe consists of 7 fresh herbs (borage, sorrel, cress, chervil, chives, parsley, and salad burnet), yoghurt and boiled eggs – usually served with boiled potatoes. Locals enjoy this dish on ‘Green Thursday’ before the Easter holidays when tradition has it that people are supposed to eat green coloured food. Follow in royal footsteps with the ‘Frankfurter Kranz’ cake

Frankfurter Kranz is one of the city’s oldest confectionery traditions. Originating in 1735 during the times of the emperors, the cake design reflects the jewel-encrusted crowns worn by the emperors of the past, with the special brittle coating symbolising the gold and the cherries the rubies. Enjoy a regal coffee break with a rolled praline of delicious ‘Frankfurter Kranz’.
