This morning we hike through the beautiful Tuscan countryside, passing rows of neatly manicured grapevines and small villages. Our destination is Montalcino, passing the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, where you might encounter Benedictine monks chanting their vespers in Latin. Although the origins of the abbey are up for debate, some say the building's foundation dates back to the time of Charlemagne.
