Die Kommunikations-, Koordinations- und Beratungsfunktion 3 unseres LEADER-Managements trägt wesentlich dazu bei, neue, regionale, innovative Ideen aufzugreifen und ge- meinsam mit den Akteur*innen in der Region umzusetzen. Als ein Beispiel möchte ich hier die Errichtung der beiden regionalen Gewerbeparks anführen. In einem moderierten Prozess wurde seitens des Gemeindeverbandes mit allen Gemeinden des Bezirks gemeinsam ein zukunftsweisender wichtiger Schritt gesetzt, um Arbeitsplätze zu erhalten bzw. neue Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten unseren Bürger*innen anbieten zu können. Dass es ein langer Weg sein wird, ist uns allen klar. Aber die ersten Schritte sind getan! Bei der Bewältigung der aktuellen Herausforderungen ist der Blick über die Bezirksgrenzen notwendig. Hier leistet eine Reihe von länderübergreifenden Projekten einen wich- tigen Beitrag, Neues entstehen zu lassen. Für dieses „Von- einander Lernen“ ist LEADER eine hervorragende Methode. Bgm. Ausgewählte Fastentücher Des Oberen Drautales Von Sachsenburg Bis Zwickenberg
„Und siehe, der Vorhang des Tempels riss von oben bis unten entzwei …“ – ausgewählte Fastentücher des oberen Drautales von Sachsenburg bis Zwickenberg Manuela Maier Ziel: Sachsenburg, Greifenburg, Berg im Drautal, Dellach im Drautal, Zwickenberg; Polit. Bez. Spittal an der Drau Anreise: Von Klagenfurt am Wörthersee bzw. Villach auf der A10 kommend, verlässt man die Autobahn bei der Abfahrt in Lendorf und fährt dann auf der B100 weiter bis zur Abzweigung „Sachsenburg“. Die Pfarrkirche befindet sich am östlichen Ortsende des Marktes. In der Nähe gibt es ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten. Wer mit der Bahn anreisen möchte, nimmt die S-Bahn der Hauptverkehrslinie Friesach–Spittal-Millstätter See bzw. eine schnelle Intercityverbindung von Klagenfurt am Wörthersee nach Spittal-Millstätter See. Dort steigt man in die S-Bahn nach Lienz um. Der kleine Bahnhof „Markt Sachsenburg“ liegt lediglich einige Schritte von der Pfarrkirche von Sachsenburg entfernt. Der Weg dorthin führt über eine Brücke. Die Ortsdurchfahrt von Sachsenburg mündet in östlicher Richtung bei der Ortschaft Obergottesfeld wieder in die B100, welcher man dann bis Greifenburg folgt. Nach kurzer Fahrzeit erreicht man rechter Hand die Abzweigung nach Berg im Drautal. Im Bereich der erhöht thronenden Pfarrkirche von Berg gibt es keine guten Parkmöglichkeiten, daher empfiehlt es sich, das Auto bereits im Ort abzustellen und bis zur Kirche hinauf zu spazieren. Während Greifenburg abseits der Bahnstation liegt, ist die Pfarrkirche von Berg auch für Bahnreisende noch mit einem kurzen Fußmarsch leicht erreichbar. Dellach im Drautal liegt ebenfalls an der B100, für Bahnreisende ist der Ort allerdings nur mit einiger Mühe zu erreichen. Eine Alternative bietet der Postbus von Spittal an der Drau nach Oberdrauburg, wobei die Fahrzeiten allerdings eingeschränkt sind. -

GORITSCHNIG Abstract The present article should be considered as an attempt to register areas with a low slope stability along the river Gail in the Lesach valley in upper Carinthia (Southem Austria) and to divide them fr om areas with an increased slope stability. In many cases unstable slopes and the resulting mass movements are a relevant source of debris and might Iead subsequently to catastrophic mud tlows which endanger villages and agricultural areas quite fr equenly in alpine regions. For this reason any kind of slope fa ilure, old ones, covered with vegetation, and still active ones, has been mapped. The classification of slope fa ilures has been done according to M. MOSER (1973): RotatiOJlal landslides wilhout a preformed sliding plane • Transitional landslides on a prefonned sliding plane • Erosion by fl owing water • Tbc kind of slope fa ilure is mainly detennined by the lithological and structural attributes of the rock. In the Lesach valley the siltic talus cover, which is particularly thick above the Periadriatic Fault, is very often aftected by slope failures and other kinds of mass movements. Apart from that fine foliated cristalline schists, just like mica schists, phyllonites or chloritic schists tend to develop unstable slopes. Also the dcgrce of fracturing by joints and fa ults plays an important role. Many rocks (especially phyllonites) in the mapped area are ragged along their parting planes, so that they now appear as loose rocks. Slope fa ilures in moraines are not very common, however they can bring huge amounts of dcbris if they become unstable. -

It was based and went beyond the European program of transnational cooperation, INTERREG IIIB CADSES. Th e region of Carinthia, Austria was set as a case study for the application of interrelating scientifi c theories of marketing, place branding and place identity in relation to and in connection with national identity. Th e paper succeeds in making a practical and theoretical contribution on the process of the creation of branding, which consists of a holistic approach of the management of every business operating in the region. Virtual reality was promoted since it may provide a direct and international impact via the creation of a virtual community appealing to a broad number of potential visitors. Th is latter, is the contribution of this paper since it proposes a model of creating e-branding, fi rst applied to the virtual community; as the virtual space /time precedes the real one and is used to implement and succeed in the design of the rural marketing of the European research programme in this region. Die Marktgemeinde Obervellach teilt mit, dass Herr Josef Mölschl Bürgermeister der Marktgemeinde Obervellach von 1964 bis 2002 Abgeordneter zum Kärntner Landtag 1975 bis 1989 Mitglied des Bundesrates von 1974 bis 1975 Träger des Silbernen Verdienstzeichens der Republik Österreich und des Großen Goldenen Ehrenzeichens des Landes Kärnten am Sonntag, den 3. Februar 2019 im 90. Lebensjahr verstorben ist. Herr Josef Mölschl hat 38 Jahre als Bürgermeister mit außergewöhnlichem Einsatz die positive Entwicklung der Marktgemeinde Obervellach gestaltet und in diesem Zeitraum zahlreiche Infra- struktureinrichtungen umgesetzt. Besonders sind ihm die Anliegen der Bevölkerung Obervel- lachs am Herzen gelegen. Herzlichen Dank für all die Bemühungen zum Wohle Obervellachs. Als Anerkennung für die herausragenden Leistungen wurde Herr Mölschl zum Ehrenbürger der Marktgemeinde Obervellach ernannt. Unser Mitgefühl entbieten wir der Trauerfamilie. Die Marktgemeinde Obervellach wird ihrem Altbürgermeister Josef Mölschl ein ehrendes Andenken bewahren. Die Begräbnisfeier fand am Freitag, 8. Februar 2019 in Obervellach statt. Usual environmental risk like torrents floods and avalanches are supposed to increase. The current employment pattern might be disrupted by climate change. In particular local Alpine communities and districts will feel the effects. An attempt is done to quantify the expected losses due to climate change on a local level. Losses are estimated by diminished income for the winter tourist industry. As the pace of warming is still unknown three scenarios of warming are provided. Local decision makers should be enabled to judge the economic magnitude of the problem and to develop counter strategies against climate change. Keywords: climate change, economic modelling, regional planning, natural hazards, tourism. Introduction Global climatic change has been an ongoing research topic for more than 15 years. However, little has been done to bring adequate awareness to decision makers on a local level. Impacts in Alpine regions will occur first on the local level resulting later on in over regional problems. Usually the local decision makers are not aware of how global climate change can affect the local life and how to take it into account at various planning processes. Alpine regions are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of global climatic change both from an economic and environmental perspective. -

Juni 2016, Zl. 06-OG1-54/6-2016, mit der die Pflichtsprengel für die Neuen Mittelschulen im politischen Bezirk Spittal an der Drau festgesetzt werden Auf Grund der §§ 57 Abs. 1, 2 und 3 und 58 Abs. 3 des Kärntner Schulgesetzes, LGBl. Nr. 58/2000, zuletzt geändert durch das Gesetz LGBl. [email protected] Original scientific paper / Izvorni znanstveni rad UDK / UDC: [630*31+62-663.8] (4-191.2)(282.24Drava)“13/19” 656.62(282.24Drava):[39.166:630*0] Summary Up to the completion of the Southern Railway Track (Südbahnstrecke) in 1871 the river Drava had a very great economic importance for Carinthia, and this for the inland trade as well as for the export to the neighboring foreign countries downstream. It was the big East-West link-up between Carinthia, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary. In Carinthia itself it was the connection between the well wooded forest areas in the upper reaches with the regions in Lower Carinthia, which had less wood but were developed industrially, and further on with the Pannonian economic sphere. The export of wood, which can be proven already in the 14th century, underwent repeated restrictions at the end of the 18th century, when the forest devotions were abolished. Subsequently however the traffic of rafts and flat-bottomed boats (so called Plätten) flourished, supplying the iron processing enterprises in Lower Carinthia with charcoal, the sawmills in the lower reaches of the river Drava with round timber, and also the ports in the Adria with the much-demanded shipbuilding wood. With the alteration of the river Drava for the production of electricity as well as with the change from transport with rafts to that with the railway the rafting traffic on the river Drava found its end after the Second World War.
