PATTON, JR 2 Abstract: This short study is to show some of the interesting details of General Patton (GSP, JR.) and answer some questions about his last five years as taken mostly from the book The Patton Papers: 1940- 1945 by Martin Blumenson1. The task is to mark where he was, what he commanded, and who he fought during WWII and perhaps to use some of his most famous quotes – noting they will be coming from his diary and notes – at least reported by Blumenson – and a few others. Perhaps a better way of saying this is to point out after seeing the movie and reading other books all my life I needed to have the big picture from his side so here is my study honestly pointing out my hero is worthy of a life time of study. Roosevelt operated from a remarkably consistent view of the world that grew naturally from his experiences. Before he entered the White House, Roosevelt already possessed a coherent worldview that influenced his thinking and informed his decisions as president. The product of his background and education, his experiences, and his exposure to contemporary ideas, Roosevelt’s worldview fully coalesced by the mid 1920s and provided a durable and coherent foundation for Roosevelt’s thinking as president and his strategic direction in response to the deteriorating situation in Europe in the late 1930s and toward the Second World War. Zwei Herrenmannschaften, zwei Damen- mannschaften, neun Jugendmannschaften und drei Mini-Gruppen gehen für die HSG Mörlen wieder auf Punkte- und Torejagd. Allen Teams wünsche ich viel Glück und Erfolg, starke Nerven und Verschonung vor Verletzungen. Kameradschaft, Spielwitz, Spaß und Freude auch nach dem Spiel und im Training bei leidenschaft- lichem Engagement werden dabei helfen, die gesteckten Ziele zu erreichen. Erfolg kommt aber nicht von allein. Es braucht nicht nur ausdauernde Sport- lerinnen und Sportler, sondern auch Verantwortliche, die im Hintergrund wirken. Verantwortliche, die in der Vereins- und Abteilungsleitung wirken, Verantwortliche, die den Trainingsbetrieb sicherstellen und Verantwortliche für eine gute Jugendarbeit im Verein. All das kann die HSG Mörlen vorwei- sen. Mit der vorbildlichen Vereinsarbeit leistet die Abteilung einen wichtigen Beitrag für unser Gemeinwesen. Lohn für den hierfür notwendigen Arbeits- aufwand werden auch in dieser Saison wieder attraktive Handballspiele und begeisterte Zuschauer in der Frauenwaldhalle sein.
