A Magyar Természettudományi Múzeum Kárpát-medencei Eupitheciini-gyűjteményét újra rendeztük. A régebbi törzsgyűjteményből és a beosztatlan anyagból összesen 81 faj 16571 példá- nya került elő, melyek mindegyikét meghatároztuk vagy határozását ellenőriztük, egyedi katalógus- számmal láttuk el, és adataikat adatbázisban rögzítettük. Külön felsoroljuk a példányok gyűjtőit. A tételes lelőhelyadatokat közöljük, továbbá minden faj lelőhelyeit ponttérképeken is ábrázoljuk. Rövid, határozást segítő diagnózist adunk mindegyik fajhoz, továbbá hivatkozunk a főbb magyar nyelvű ösz- szefoglaló faunisztikai művekben, illetve határozókönyvekben történő említésükre. Áttekintjük a mú- zeum gyűjteményében őrzött típuspéldányokat (13 taxon 54 példánya).

Michael Fibiger 1945 - 2011
Esperiana Band 16: 7-38 Schwanfeld, 06. Dezember 2011 ISBN 978-3-938249-01-7 Michael FIBIGER 1945 - 2011 Our dear friend and colleague, Michael FIBIGER, died on 16 February, 2011, peacefully and in the presence of the closest members of his family. For close on 18 months he had battled heroically and with characteristic determination against a particularly unpleasant form of cancer, and continued with his writing and research until close to the end. Michael was born on 29 June, 1945, in Hellerup, a suburb of Copenhagen, and began catching moths at the age of nine, particularly in the vicinity of the summer house where they stayed on the north coast of Zealand. By the time he was 11, he wanted to join the Danish Lepidoptera Society but was told he was too young and must wait “a couple of years”. So, exactly two years later he applied again and was accepted – as the youngest-ever Member of the Society. Michael always knew he wanted to be a teacher, and between 1965 and 1970 he attended training college at Hel- lerup Seminarium. Having graduated, he taught Danish, Biology and Special Education at Gentofte School until 1973. In the meantime, he studied Clinical Psychology at the University of Copenhagen from 1970 to 1976, and from 1973 to 1981 he became School Psychologist for elementary schools and high schools in the municipality of Gentofte, work which involved investigation and testing of children with psychiatric problems, counselling, supervi- sion and therapy. He was also an instructor in drug prevention for the Ministry of Education. -

Abstract. Contribution to the knowledge of the lepidoptera of La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Na- tural Park, Catalonia (Lepidoptera). The 2006 annual fieldtrip of the Societat Catalana de Lepi- dopterologia (SCL) took place on June 16-18 in La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park (PNZVG). Fifteen localities in the Natural Park and adjacent areas were studied, mostly at night using light traps. As a result of this fieldwork 305 species belonging to 33 families of lepidoptera were detected, among which Luquetia lobella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) and Pasiphila chloerata (Mabille, 1870) were first records for the Iberian Peninsula; other species were of biogeographical significance or because they had rarely been recorded in Catalonia before. Resum. -
DNA Barcoding the Geometrid Fauna of Bavaria (Lepidoptera): Successes, Surprises, and Questions
DNA Barcoding the Geometrid Fauna of Bavaria (Lepidoptera): Successes, Surprises, and Questions Axel Hausmann1*, Gerhard Haszprunar1, Paul D. N. Hebert2 1 Entomology Department, Zoological Collection of the State of Bavaria, Munich, Germany, 2 Biodiversity Institute of Ontario, University of Guelph, Guelph, Canada Abstract Background: The State of Bavaria is involved in a research program that will lead to the construction of a DNA barcode library for all animal species within its territorial boundaries. The present study provides a comprehensive DNA barcode library for the Geometridae, one of the most diverse of insect families. Methodology/Principal Findings: This study reports DNA barcodes for 400 Bavarian geometrid species, 98 per cent of the known fauna, and approximately one per cent of all Bavarian animal species. Although 98.5% of these species possess diagnostic barcode sequences in Bavaria, records from neighbouring countries suggest that species-level resolution may be compromised in up to 3.5% of cases. All taxa which apparently share barcodes are discussed in detail. One case of modest divergence (1.4%) revealed a species overlooked by the current taxonomic system: Eupithecia goossensiata Mabille, 1869 stat.n. is raised from synonymy with Eupithecia absinthiata (Clerck, 1759) to species rank. Deep intraspecific sequence divergences (.2%) were detected in 20 traditionally recognized species. Conclusions/Significance: The study emphasizes the effectiveness of DNA barcoding as a tool for monitoring biodiversity. Open access is provided to a data set that includes records for 1,395 geometrid specimens (331 species) from Bavaria, with 69 additional species from neighbouring regions. Taxa with deep intraspecific sequence divergences are undergoing more detailed analysis to ascertain if they represent cases of cryptic diversity. -

Entomologiske Meddelelser
Efter at have praktiseret denne nummerering i nogle år, droppedes dog betegnelsen "2. -
