This reorganisation is the result of a government programme aimed at giving each of the regions autonomy, and a greater autonomy to the regions coinciding with Western Sahara. In 2010, the Consultative Commission for Regionalization was formed to tackle this subject. The commission prepared a report proposing to reorganize Morocco into 12 regions. The new 12-region structure constitutes a regrouping of the existing provinces and prefectures2 and replaces the previous structure of 16 regions. The decree states that Morocco is divided into 12 regions. However, since Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab3 falls entirely in the territory of Western Sahara4, this would not be included on UK products as part of Morocco. The region of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra falls partly into Western Sahara but as part of it is in Morocco, it is recognised as part of Morocco’s administrative structure and the part outside Western Sahara can be shown on UK mapping.     THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO U.S.$1,000,000,000 4.25% Notes due 2022 Issue price: 99.228% U.S.$500,000,000 5.50% Notes due 2042 Issue price: 97.464% The U.S.$1,000,000,000 4.25% Notes due 2022 (the “2022 Notes”) and the U.S.$500,000,000 5.50% Notes due 2042 (the “2042 Notes” and, together with the 2022 Notes, the “Notes”) to be issued by the Kingdom of Morocco (the “Issuer”, the “Kingdom” or “Morocco”), will mature and be redeemed at their principal amount on 11 December 2022, in respect of the 2022 Notes, and 11 December 2042, in respect of the 2042 Notes, unless previously purchased and cancelled. See “Terms and Conditions of the Notes—5. Redemption, Purchase and Cancellation”. The 2022 Notes will bear interest from and including 11 December 2012 (the “Issue Date”) at a rate of 4.25% per annum and will be payable semi-annually in arrear on 11 June and 11 December in each year. The first payment of interest in respect of the 2022 Notes will be made on 11 June 2013. The 2042 Notes will bear interest from and including the Issue Date at a rate of 5.50% per annum and will be payable semi-annually in arrear on 11 June and 11 December in each year. The preparation of this report has been co-ordinated by the G20/G7 Sherpa Office and Global Governance Unit within the Cabinet of the Secretary-General of the OECD, under the strategic direction of Gabriela Ramos, Special Counsellor and Sherpa and under the responsibility of Nicolas Pinaud, Head of the Sherpa Office. ABSTRACT: The object of this work is to study the Moroccan tourism strategy and is impact on sun and beach tourism in the Tangier-Tetouan region. This study forms part of a more extensive research included in the Ibn Battouta project on sustainable tourism in the northern region of Morocco, financed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) Two main conclusions have been drawn from this research: the tourism potential of the region and the Moroccan government's strong support for this sector. An important part of this support is related to sun and beach tourism as shown by the development of the 2020 Azur programme. The execution of these programmes could, in the near future, produce a great impact on some of the Mediterranean and Atlantic coastal areas.
