Community service is not just something you do when you get a speeding ticket. It is a great way to help others, to learn new skills, and to be involved with others who have interests similar to yours. When you begin to apply for scholarships and/or jobs, the people who are looking at your application want to know what kind of person you are. Of course they’ll want to know what kind of grades you made, and what your ACT/SAT scores were, but they also want to know who you are and how you spend your time.
