TERMS AND CONDITIONS “BECAS SANTANDER WOMAN | W50 LEADERSHIP 2021” (11th Edition)

London School of Economics with the financial support of Banco Santander, S.A., has developed the Santander Scholarship Programme Becas Santander Women | W50 Leadership 2021, which will facilitate and promote that the next generation of female leaders around the world will be equipped with training, tools and leadership skills required to advance and succeed in leadership positions.

I. Objectives

The “Becas Santander Women | W50 Leadership 2021” Programme (“the Programme”) will assist women possessing more than ten (10) years of work experience and fluent in English.

The aim of the Programme is consider their own leadership characteristics and techniques in the context of robust analytic frameworks, in particular:

• To emphasise the critical study of leadership and its implications for global leadership. • To introduce selected theoretical frameworks. • To apply leadership theories to practice. • To develop personal leadership skills and style.

II. Recipients

This Programme will be open to women possessing more than ten (10) years of work experience in any organization (corporates, startups, NGOs, universities and science institutions, etc), fluent in English and, also, nationals or residents of , , United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, , , , , United States, , and (hereinafter, the “Candidates”).

These Candidates will have to meet the selection criteria set out below.

Obtaining a free place on the training course that is offered under the Programme will be compatible with holding other classroom attendance scholarships of a different kind that may be available to the student engaging in work experience under the Programme, regardless of whether these are public or private in nature.

III. Characteristics of the Programme

This Programme will have 50 places available, which provide an enriching online learning experience, outstanding learning content from the London School of Economics, an individual leadership coaching, and networking opportunities with other participants.

The total number of places of the Programme will have a quota of up to a maximum of 10% that will be reserved for female employees of Banco Santander, S.A and / or its subsidiaries (hereinafter, the “Santander Group”). These places will be assigned among the students

who meet the requirements of the selection criteria of this call and are also employees of the Santander Group.

The Programme offers a course, which will last for nine (9) weeks, will be given by the London School of Economics and it will be offered entirely online to avoid any inconvenience caused by COVID-19 (hereinafter, the “Course”).

Subjects to be Taught

This Programme is designed for Candidates with existing management experience who aspire to take on leadership roles in their organisation and are seeking to reflect on and further develop their own leadership style.

Course Objectives

• By the end of the Course, students will be capable of applying leadership theories to practice and develop personal leadership skills and style.

Course Overview The Course consists of three modules conducted between 6th September 2021 and 3rd December 2021: Phase 1 – One Month (approximately 10 hours) W50 Leadership kicks off with a virtual opening session on September 6, 2021. Participants will meet their fellow participants, their coaching cluster, and leadership coach. Then, participants have one month to complete the pre-work and prepare for the programme.

Phase 2 – One Month (approximately 6-7 hours per week) The virtual programme will consist of nine live sessions, spread across four weeks. Each week, participants will complete pre-work and attend two live sessions. The live sessions will bring together the global cohort for an interactive lecture and enriched discussion.

Phase 3 – One Month During this phase, participants will implement the skills they have developed over the course of the programme.

Phase 4 – 1 week (approximately 4 hours) Participants will reconvene for a final coaching session. The programme will conclude with a virtual celebration with a guest speaker.

Course Activities, Class Schedule:

The Course Activities and Class Schedule are attached as Exhibit B.

Upon completion, students will receive a Certificate.

The students will have access to Banco Santander, S.A.´s Human Resources selection process in order to apply for an internship or full employment contract with the organisation, if they agree to it in www.santander-grants.com.

IV. Selection criteria:

The selection of the Programme will take place in three phases.

Phase 1.

London School of Economics will review all candidates will review the initial application on the call. In this phase and in order to be eligible for the next phase of the registration process, candidates must comply with the following selection criteria:

• To be a national or resident of the following countries: Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany, Poland, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, United States, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. • Have not participated in a previous edition of W30, W50, or Emerging Leaders. • Willing to attend online sessions • Willing to commit 5-7 hours per week • Willing to take part in 360-degree feedback • Gender criteria (exclude male applicants and include female and “other”). • Years of experience

Phase 2

London School of Economics will review all candidates according to Aon Assesment skills and motivation evaluation test, distributed by The Key Talent. In this phase and in order to be eligible for the next phase of the registration process, candidates must comply with the following selection criteria:

• To possess more than ten (10) years of work experience. • To be fluent in English. • To be registered user in Santander Grants Platform (www.santander-grants.com) and sign in to Santander W50 2021 Edition. • To complete Evaluation test from Aon Assesment GmbH distributed by The Key Talent, available in its platform (www.thekeytalent.com) which consists of a set of

test to evaluate the competencies, kills and knowledge of the candidates, for the purpose of selecting the recipients of the Programme.

Phase 3.

London School of Economics will evaluate the participants, who are invited to this phase of the registration process, according to:

• The result of the evaluation of Phase 1. • The Curriculum Vitae up-to-date. • The motivation letter. • The accomplishments letter. • The recommendation letter.

In order for places on the Programme to be allocated to participants, a Selection Forum comprising 2 representatives from London School of Economics, 2 representatives from Banco Santander, S.A.’s Universities division will confirm compliance with the selection criteria that are to be met by students. The Forum may also assess any other selection criteria that it deems appropriate in the event that demand for places from students exceeds the number available.

With a view to ensuring that the Programme will benefit from the greatest possible number of students, if the Selection Forum believes at any time that the planned number of places is not going to be filled, it may decide to apply other criteria for obtaining a place on the Programme, and it may even extend the deadline by which students may apply.

In the event that, once the deadline has expired, some of the places allocated have not been accepted by students, the Selection Forum will allocate these places under identical conditions to other students who meet the necessary requirements or additionally requirements that the Selection Forum will consider with the aim that the places will not be deserted.

V. Management

Registration via the website created to this end at www.santander-grants.com is an essential requirement for anyone wishing to obtain a place, and the allocation of places will be notified using the management system provided.

VI. Allocation of places among candidates

In order to allocate the places, the Candidates will be able to apply for the 2021 Call of the Programme from 8th March 2021 until 10th May 2021.

Allocation of places will be notified to beneficiaries on 28th July 2021, and it will not be possible to extend this deadline under any circumstances unless otherwise decided by the Selection Forum. Students who are notified that they have been allocated a place will have 7 calendar days to indicate their acceptance via the website www.santander-grants.com.

In the event that, once the deadline has expired, some of the places allocated have not been accepted by students, the Selection Forum will allocate these places under identical conditions to other students who meet the necessary requirements or additionally requirements that the Selection Forum will consider with the aim that the places will not be deserted.

VII. Taxation of the Programme

The corresponding tax regulations in force will be applied to the scholarships and, specifically, the provisions regarding Spanish Personal Income Tax and that on occasions could give rise to the practice of withholdings on account of the aforementioned Tax for part of London School of Economics and the obligation for the beneficiary of the scholarship to include the corresponding amounts in their annual income statement (compliance with the fiscal obligations of the beneficiary of the scholarship will be their sole responsibility).

VIII. Data protection

Regulation of personal data applicable to the Programme is set in the Privacy Policy of Santander Grants available at www.santander-grants.com/es/legal/privacy.

Additionally, regulation of personal data applicable to the assessment tools provided in the Programme by Aon Assessment GmbH, Streghtscope, Ltd. and MindGarden, Inc. are available at https://maptq.com/default/home/es/privacy/1xe7iawe, https://www.strengthscope.com/privacy/ and https://www.mindgarden.com/content/22- privacy, respectively.

IX. Modification of Term and Conditions of the Programme

The fact of participate this 2020-2021 Call for the Programme implies acceptance by the students of its Terms and Conditions, and its resolution, which will be final, as well as the waiver of any type of claim on any aspect stipulated in them, such as allocation, selection and admission criteria.

Santander and London School of Economics reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions of the 2021 Call of the Programme, partially or totally at any time, with the purpose of preserving the social impact that Santander and London School of Economics pursue with the present Call, informing about the modifications made to the candidates through the website www.santander-grants.com.

W50 Leadership – Programme Overview

Module 1: Programme Launch Self-Assessment and Preparation – 1 Month (~10 hour’s commitment)

6 September 2021 - One month prior to the Programme kick-off, the cohort will be brought together for a virtual Programme launch. Then, participants will have one month to complete the pre-work, which will consist of 2 skills assessments, pre-course readings, and phase 1 of the Leadership Development plan. During Module 1, the Participants will have to take two additional tests: - Strenghtscope Assessment: The purpose of this test is to evaluate the Participants’ strengths as a leader. This test is distributed by Strenghscope Ltd. and accesible via internet at https://www.strengthscope.com . - MLQ 360-degree feedback: The purpose of this test is to evaluate the Participants’ Leadership types through a Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire. The MLQ identifies the characteristics of a transformational leader and helps individuals discover how they measure up in their own eyes and in the eyes of those with whom they work. This test is distributed by MindGarden, Inc. and accessible via internet at https://www.mindgarden.com

Module 2: W50 Training Programme – 1 Month (6-7 hour’s commitment per week for 4 weeks) Each week, participants will complete pre-work and attend two live sessions. The pre- work will consist of readings and videos, which can be completed in the participants’ own time. The live sessions will bring together the cohort for an interactive lesson and enriched discussion. Each session will be approximately 2 hours, for a total time commitment of 4 hours per week.
