About World Transplant Games World Transplant Games (WTG) , 17-24 June 2011 held in Göteborg, Sweden, is an international athletics games for organ transplants. More than one thousand transplanted athletes from 54 countries between the age of 6 and 70 years meet to compete in 13 different sports. This is the 18 th time the games are held and the first time in Sweden. The purpose of the World Transplant Games is to show the success of organ transplants and encourage more people consent to organ donation and make their wishes known to their family, using a donor card or the National donor register.
