Be prepared for hot temperatures throughout the year. This also means that humidity will be quite high whether it is wet season (June to October) or dry season (November to May). Pack light clothes and a rain jacket whenever you are visiting these areas. Indian Subcontinent – The weather in the subcontinent is extremely variable and this should be taken into account when deciding the best time to travel. The deciding factor should be the wet season, or heat and humidity. As a rule of thumb, you should observe the following: October to March brings pleasant weather with warm days that cool off in the evening; July to September has heavy rains and monsoon showers; April to June brings scorching heat and high humidity. East Asia – The best time of year to travel is usually early autumn (September to early October) and spring (late February to May). During this time, temperatures are very comfortable with little to no rain. Winter can be quite cold (November to February) and you should expect snow in the mountains and highlands, whilst summer (June to August) brings high heat and humidity. Silk Road – Typically, May and October prove to be the best times Kyrgyzstan to venture on the Silk Road with an average temperature of 15ºC. If travelling along the route through summer it can be exceptionally Tajikistan hot and during winter can regularly get below freezing. May is the ideal time to travel as you will witness the snow melt, the landscape turns a lush green and the temperature is stable reducing the amount of luggage needed.
