Osaka City University Graduate School of Science provides special courses for foreign students. Japanese is not mandatory to obtain a master’s or doctoral degree. You can take entrance examinations, lectures, seminars, research guidance, and degree exams in English. Students of this course will belong to one of the following three divisions.

Admission Schedule for October 2020 Enrollment
〇 Application Period* : April 13 – April 24, 2020 (to be emailed to International Course Office) * The applicant is required to consult, in advance, with the faculty member.
〇 Examination Process: Document screening + Oral exam** at Osaka City University on June 20, 2020. ** Only successful applicants who pass the document screening.
〇 Announcement of Admission Decisions: June 30, 2020
〇 Enrollment/Registration Day: July, 2020
Financial Support for International Course Students < For All Students > ✓ Students admitted into the International Course will be exempt from the admission fee (382,000 JPY).
< Scholarships & Student Aid > ✓ There are scholarships for the students of this International Course (500,000 or 1,000,000 JPY/YR).
✓ 30%, 50% or 100% exemptions of tuition fees are available for international students with satisfactory study results but financial difficulties.
✓ After enrollment you can apply for a number of scholarships for which you need a recommendation from Osaka City University.
✓ Residential facilities for international students, e.g., Osaka City University International Residence, Orion International House, El Sereno, Uenoshiba Women’s Dormitory.

Access by Public Transport 5 min. walk from Sugimoto-cho Station (JR Hanwa Line). 20 min. walk from Abiko Station (Subway Midosuji Line). Access from the Main Terminals From Kansai International Airport (KIX) : Take the Kansai-Airport Rapid Service, change at Sakai-shi to a local train for Tennoji and get off at Sugimoto-cho Station. Graduate School of From Shin-Osaka Station : Science Take the subway Midosuji Line and get off at Abiko Station. From Osaka International Airport (Itami) : Take an Airport Limousine Bus to Abenobashi Station, then take a local train on the JR Hanwa Line from JR Tennoji Station and get off at Sugimoto-cho Station.
