Cinéma En Plein Air VII Édition I MICHEL PICCOLI Jardins, 8-19 Juillet 2013 Cinéma en plein air VII édition I MICHEL PICCOLI Jardins, 8-19 juillet 2013 L’édition 2013 du Cinéma en plein air rend un hommage exceptionnel à Michel Piccoli, immense artiste de l’histoire et de l’actualité du cinéma, avec un ensemble de films avec lui et de lui. Choisis avec sa collaboration, ceux-ci mettront particulièrement en valeur le rôle crucial joué par Michel Piccoli dans le cinéma européen. En parcourant l’histoire du cinéma français, il est difficile de trouver un acteur de la même étoffe que Michel Piccoli. Sa carrière cinématographique riche et diversifiée a vu l'acteur français jouer dans plus de deux cents films, qui ont donné lieu à des rencontres avec les plus grands réalisateurs transalpins et d'Italie, dans des rôles mémorables. Acteur de théâtre et de cinéma, Michel Piccoli interprète avec justesse et invention les rôles les plus complexes et opposés, s’adaptant aux univers et aux langages cinématographiques les plus divers. Artiste de renommée internationale, on le retrouve dans les films de Demy, Rivette, Sautet, Buñuel, Rouffio, Ferreri, Petri, Bellocchio, Hitchcock, Skolimowski, Doillon, Carax, Malle, Chabrol, Deville, Renoir, Godard, Lelouch, Granier-Deferre, Tavernier, Chahine, Resnais... Acteur de génie, il a également réalisé des films importants. Son étonnante capacité à investir ses rôles, à travailler dans la recherche et le mouvement continus, font de Michel Piccoli une véritable icône du cinéma. Du lundi 8 au vendredi 19 juillet pour le Cinéma en plein air l'Académie de France à Rome ouvre une fois de plus les jardins de la Villa Médicis, dont la salle de cinéma porte déjà le nom de Michel Piccoli. Avec cette septième édition, le Cinéma en plein air confirme son caractère de manifestation populaire et emblématique de l'Académie de France à Rome – Villa Médicis. Mêlant chefs-d’œuvre célébrés et grandes œuvres à redécouvrir, elle met en valeur les acteurs et actrices qui ont contribué au dialogue cinématographique entre la France et l’Italie. Certains des films de la programmation proviennent de la Fondation Centre Expérimental de Cinématographie - Archives nationales du film de Rome. PROGRAMME Lundi 8 juillet – 21h00 Séance d’ouverture : Le Mépris de Jean-Luc GODARD France-Italie, 1963, 103’, couleur Avec Brigitte Bardot, Michel Piccoli, Fritz Lang, Jack Palance, Giorgia Moll, Raoul Coutard Le scénariste parisien Paul Javal et son épouse Camille rejoignent le réalisateur Fritz Lang en tournage pour le compte du producteur de cinéma américain Jeremy Prokosch sur le plateau du film Ulysse, en chantier à la villa Malaparte à Capri en Italie. Durant le séjour, Paul Javal laisse le riche et séduisant producteur seul avec Camille, alors qu'intimidée, elle insiste pour demeurer auprès de Paul. À tort, Camille s'imagine que son mari la pousse dans le lit du producteur pour obtenir le travail de réécriture du scénario. De là naissent des malentendus, le mépris, et leur couple vole en éclats. Projection exceptionnelle : version française autorisée par l’auteur, copie introuvable en Italie. Mardi 9 juillet – 21h00 Une étrange affaire de Pierre GRANIER-DEFERRE France, 1980, 105’, couleur Avec Michel Piccoli, Gérard Lanvin, Nathalie Baye, Jean-Pierre Kalfon, Jean-François Balmer, Dominique Blanchar Louis Coline, marié avec Nina, est employé dans le service marketing d'un grand magasin parisien. Un matin, on annonce un plan social et le rachat du groupe par un certain Bertrand Malair. Ce dernier arrive de façon très discrète et se montre relativement mystérieux et laconique. Il entre en contact avec Louis, qu'il décide de garder et même de le gratifier d'une promotion de chef de la publicité du magasin. Une fable sociale à la lisière du fantastique, qui voit la vie d’un homme basculer quand un nouveau supérieur hiérarchique débarque dans sa société, et exerce sur lui une emprise de plus en plus forte, jusqu’à s’immiscer dans sa vie privée… Mercredi 10 juillet – 21h00 Dillinger est mort (Dillinger è morto) de Marco FERRERI Avec Adriano Aprà, Anita Pallenberg, Annie Girardot, Carole André, Gigi Lavagetto, Mario Jannilli, Michel Piccoli Italie, 1969, 95’, couleur Rentrant de son travail, Glauco trouve sa femme couchée et malade. Il décide de se préparer à dîner. À la recherche d'ustensiles de cuisine, il trouve un revolver emballé dans un journal annonçant la mort du gangster Dillinger. Tout en cuisinant, il démonte l'arme et la nettoie. Peu à peu, une idée s'installe dans son esprit… Jeudi 11 juillet – 21h00 Les choses de la vie de Claude SAUTET France, 1970, 89’, couleur Avec Michel Piccoli, Romy Schneider, Lea Massari, Gérard Lartigau Au volant de sa voiture, Pierre, architecte d’une quarantaine d’années, est victime d’un accident de la route. Ejecté du véhicule, il gît inconscient sur l’herbe au bord de la route. Il se remémore son passé, sa vie avec Hélène, une jeune femme qu’il voulait quitter, sa femme Catherine et son fils... Les Choses de la vie fait connaître Claude Sautet au grand public et il ouvre une nouvelle étape de sa carrière, liée à la rencontre avec Romy Schneider, dont il marquera à jamais la carrière, Michel Piccoli, qui devient son double à l’écran et Philippe Sarde qui signera toutes les musiques de ses films. Soirée organisée avec le soutien de Groupama – Un apéritif est prévu pour le public avant la projection. Vendredi 12 juillet – 21h00 C’est pas tout à fait la vie dont j’ai rêvé de Michel PICCOLI France, 2004, 75’, couleur Avec Roger Jendly, Michèle Gleizer, Elizabeth Margoni, Monique Eberlé, Nicolas Barbot Un homme, deux appartements, une femme, une maîtresse, une domestique. Un homme partage sa vie entre son club, l'appartement où il vit avec sa femme et celui qu'il occupe avec sa maîtresse. Avec la complicité de sa domestique, il dépouille l'une pour faire des cadeaux à l'autre. À la première il n'offre que des parties silencieuses de Scrabble, à la deuxième des déclarations et des bouquets de fleurs quotidiens. Mais cet homme finit par reproduire avec sa maîtresse les mêmes rituels figés. Lundi 15 juillet – 21h00 Vous n’avez encore rien vu d’Alain RESNAIS France, 2012, 115’, couleur Avec Lambert Wilson, Mathieu Amalric, Michel Piccoli, Anne Consigny, Sabine Azéma, Hippolyte Girardot, Denis Podalydès, Pierre Arditi, Michel Robin, Anny Duperey, Andrzej Seweryn Après sa mort, Antoine, homme de théâtre, fait convoquer chez lui tous ses amis comédiens ayant joués dans différentes versions de sa pièce Eurydice. Il a enregistré, avant de mourir, une déclaration dans laquelle il leur demande de visionner une captation des répétitions de cette pièce : une jeune troupe lui a en effet demandé l'autorisation de la monter et il a besoin de leur avis... Mardi 16 juillet – 21h00 Milou en Mai de Louis MALLE France, 1989, 108’, couleur Avec Miou-Miou, Bruno Carette, Dominique Blanc, Harriet Walter, Michel Duchaussoy, Michel Piccoli, Paulette Dubost Pendant qu’au loin éclatent les révoltes de mai 68, Milou mène une vie insouciante dans sa grande maison à la campagne. Quand sa mère meurt, toute la famille accourt pour enterrer l’ancêtre et se partager l’héritage. Tensions intimes et peurs devant l’histoire. Sur un air de Stéphane Grappelli, Louis Malle se livre à un singulier portrait de groupe dont le centre est Michel Piccoli, lumineux Milou qui a "décidé d’être heureux parce que c’est bon pour la santé" et crie "Vive la Révolution !" sous les tilleuls printaniers, un verre à la main. Mercredi 17 juillet – 21h00 Habemus Papam de Nanni MORETTI Italie-France, 2011, 102’, couleur Avec Michel Piccoli, Nanni Moretti, Franco Graziosi, Jerzy Stuhr, Margherita Buy, Renato Scarpa, Roberto Nobile Après la mort du Pape, le Conclave se réunit afin d’élire son successeur. Plusieurs votes sont nécessaires avant que ne s’élève la fumée blanche. Enfin, un cardinal est élu ! Mais les fidèles massés sur la place Saint-Pierre attendent en vain l’apparition au balcon du nouveau souverain pontife. Ce dernier ne semble pas prêt à supporter le poids d’une telle responsabilité. Le monde entier est bientôt en proie à l’inquiétude tandis qu’au Vatican, on cherche des solutions pour surmonter la crise… Certaines séquences du film ont été tournées à la Villa Médicis. Jeudi 18 juillet – 21h00 Belle de jour de Luis BUÑUEL France-Italie, 1967, 102’, couleur Avec Catherine Deneuve, Francisco Rabal, Geneviève Page, Jean Sorel, Macha Méril, Michel Piccoli, Pierre Clementi Jeune épouse d'un interne des hôpitaux de Paris, Séverine aime son mari mais n'est pas attirée physiquement par lui, préférant ses fantasmes à tendance masochistes. Poussée par la curiosité, Séverine se rend dans une maison de rendez-vous et devient bientôt, à l'insu de son mari, « Belle de jour », la troisième pensionnaire de Mme Anaïs… Elle y est appelée Belle de jour car ses visites surviennent chaque après-midi de deux à cinq heures. Tiré du roman éponyme de Kessel, le film a remporté le Lion d’or au Festival de Venise en 1967. Vendredi 19 juillet – 21h00 Le saut dans le vide (Salto nel vuoto) de Marco BELLOCCHIO France-Italie, 1980, 120’, couleur Avec Anouk Aimée, Antonio Piovanelli, Gisella Burinato, Michel Piccoli, Michele Placido, Anna Orso Le juge Mauro Ponticelli vit dans un appartement romain avec sa soeur Marta. Tous deux ont atteint l'âge mûr, et vivent l'un aux dépens de l'autre, dans un rapport morbide, qui cependant n'est jamais allé jusqu'à l'inceste. Alors que Marta semble vaincre sa dépression et trouver l’amour, Mauro devient jaloux… Pour ce film Michel Piccoli a obtenu le Prix d'interprétation masculine et Anouk Aimée le Prix d'interprétation féminine au Festival de Cannes.

Fassbinder, Jean-Luc Godard, Werner Herzog, Terry Malick, Ermanno Ohni, Jacques Rivette and Martin Scorsese. For a numer of reasons, the history of Poland, especially the period of World War II, is distorted and deformed, also in the United States, so we must strive to learn the truth about these events. This presentation will acquaint you closer with: Polish Operation; secret protocol between Germany and Russia; Hitler's orders; methods of extermination of the Polish nation; the Katyn massacre; deportations of Poles to Siberia; hiding and falsifying the truth about the Katyn genocide and deportations to Siberia. Polish Operation by NKVD in 1937 „Polish Operation” was carried out by the NKVD (communist secret police) two years before the Second World War. It consisted in arresting of people of Polish origin who lived within the domain of Soviet Russia. According to the documents, almost 240,000 people were imprisoned at that time, of which almost half were murdered, the rest were sentenced to stay in labor camps or deported to Kazakhstan and Siberia. Victims of the NKVD „Polish Operation” The action covered all suspected of Polish origin. Poles were killed or deported for only one reason: because they were Poles. This served as a model for organizing later mass arrests, forced resettlements and murders such as in Katyn.
