2 Re-evaluation of Biotopes

 Aim of the project: • Re-evaluation of open-landscape biotopes and habitats mapped in 2007-2012 • Measure the evolution of conservation status of formerly mapped and evaluated biotopes and habitats • Assess the conservation status for the “Reporting” obligations for the “nature” directives.

 Project duration foreseen over a period of 6 Years (2016-2022) and later…  Representative random sample of 5042 biotopes to be re- evaluated

 Assessing both quantitative and qualitative aspects of change of biotopes: • Improvement • Degradation • Extension • Reduction / Destruction • Modification  Scanning for not yet mapped biotopes
