My fellow members on the Board of Directors of Delaware County Community College Educational Foundation and I are grateful to the College’s alumni, friends and other constituents who support our mission. Board members are motivated by a sense of community that is demonstrated by an investment of time and philanthropic dollars. We represent a diversity of professions and businesses, large and small. Our involvement facilitates partnerships, where appropriate, and philanthropic gifts for College priorities. A strong community is made possible by institutions like Delaware County Community College that focus on career opportunities for residents, while also preparing students to transfer to four year institutions for advanced degrees. For this reason, our Board is committed to the work of the Foundation whose sole mission is to develop resources for students, faculty, programs and capital projects. In recent years the College has focused on transforming the Marple Campus into a 21st century educational environment. This transformation was made possible by major investments by the College that were augmented by gifts from many donors. There is more to be accomplished, but with renewed support from our constituents, we will continue to make an impact on what the College is able to offer the community. The Board’s service on various committees helps to ensure the success of Foundation activities. Annual gifts, which support the scholarship program, golf outing, events and other projects, rely on a great number of people to be successful. We owe a debt of gratitude to our Board members and to all donors whose names are listed in this report.

Sincerely yours,

Robert M. Madonna Chair, Board of Directors DCCC Educational Foundation

Grant Supports Phoenixville Residents

Dr. Louis Beccaria congratulates Phoenixville resident and nursing student Amy Hitchcock-Light on receiving a scholarship.

Phoenixville Community Health Foundation awarded a $20,000 grant in March 2014 to the Delaware County Community College Educational Foundation, the second in the current fiscal year, announced Kathleen A. Breslin, Executive Director of the College’s Educational Foundation. The additional $20,000 grant is indicative of a strong interest from Phoenixville residents in public safety and health-related majors. The College offers 17 programs in health-related majors and three programs in public safety. “We are grateful that Dr. Louis J. Beccaria , President and CEO of Phoenixville Community Health Foundation, recognized the need for additional resources to support members of their service community who do not benefit from the reduced tuition of sponsoring school district residents,” said Breslin. During 2013-2014, 26 students were eligible for scholarships. To date, the Foundation has assisted 322 students with one-half tuition, for a total of $215,000. 8 FISCAL YEAR July 1, 2014 — June 30, 2015 Con tributio ns ANNUAL CAPITAL FUND FY 2014 FY 2015 CAMPAIGN FY 2014 FY 2015 Individuals $182.961 $376,513 Individuals $9,235 $8,387 Corporations 79,934 110,117 Corporations 0 0 Foundations 109,207 93,750 Foundations 14,859 0 Other Other Organizations 777,003 723,749 Organizations 0 0 TOTAL $1,149,105 $1,304,129 TOTAL $24,094 $8,387 50th ANNIVIVERSARY CAMPAIGN FY 2015 Individuals $9,380 FY 2014 FY 2015 Corporations 25,238 GRAND TOTAL $1,173,199 $1,347,134 Foundations 0 INVESTMENT INCOME 131,757 148,133 Other TOTAL GIFTS AND Organizations 0 INVESTMENT INCOME $1,304,956 $1,495,267 TOTAL $34,618

The annual report presents another opportunity to express our gratitude and to document your generosity. Contributions for capital and annual programs in 2014-2015 totaled $1,304,129, an increase of $155,024 over last year.

In preparation for the College’s 50th anniversary in 2017, the Annual Fund campaign focused on gifts over a three-year period, with the expectation that donors would give special consideration to this milestone event by contributing in a significant way. Alumni have been challenged to make a first-time gift in response to grants from fellow alumni who will match the gifts of first-time alumni donors.

This report also showcases the Foundation’s 2014 Annual Dinner, which recognizes all those who support the scholarship program. With 131 scholarships totaling nearly $250,000, the Foundation continues to expand each year. New donors join a list of alumni, faculty, friends, board members, corporations, foundations and other organizations whose longstanding support has assisted worthy students for many years.

One of our largest scholarship programs, the Louis W. Scott III Memorial Scholarship, is bolstered every year by the annual Lou Scott Golf Classic. As noted in this report, the golf outing celebrated a 15th anniversary this year, raising a total of $220,000 and awarding 74 scholarships since its inception.

Your continuing support of the Foundation’s mission plays an essential role in the College’s student retention effort. It is also a vote of confidence in the work of faculty and administration. Thank you again for your ongoing interest and support.

Sincerely,

Kathleen A. Breslin Executive Director
