I wish you the best. Ambassador Edward W. “Skip” Gnehm, Jr., joined the faculty of the Elliott School of International Affairs in 2004. He was appointed to his present position as Kuwait Professor of Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Affairs in 2006. Prior to coming to the Elliott School, Amb. Gnehm had a distinguished 36-year career in the United States Foreign Service, including serving as the U.S. Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (2001–2004), U.S. Ambassador to Australia (2000–2001), U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait (1991–1994), and director general of the U.S. Foreign Service (1997–2000).
