Following immigration, customs formalities and baggage collection, a TCI representative will meet, as you exit the terminal building and will transfer you to your Hotel. Delhi: The capital of Republic of India, Delhi is a bustling metropolis and a city of almost 17 million inhabitants. Delhi is a near perfect blend of the ancient and the modern and is seamlessly divided into two parts – Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi is part of the city that was designed by the Mughals and New Delhi was designed majorly during English rule. Delhi has something for everyone ranging from forts to shopping malls, museums to temples, golf clubs to discotheques etc. Overnight at Hotel. (Meals : No Meal) DAY 02: IN DELHI Morning after Buffett Breakfast at Hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour of Old Delhi – This visit include visit to mosque of Friday, Jama Masjid. Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India and is one of the last architectural works of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan whose best work is Taj Mahal. The spacious courtyard of the Jama Masjid holds thousands of faithful devotees. Drive in a man pulled rickshaw through the colorful shopping bazaar known as Chandni Chowk (“Moonlit Street”). Drive past the Red Fort, an important building complexes of India which encapsulates a long period of Indian history and its arts. Also visit Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.Continue with tour of New Delhi Humayun’s Tomb After Lunch on own visiting Qutub Minar, the pride of Delhi. The Construction of this tall minaret was commenced by muslim ruler, Qutb‐ud‐din Aibak in 1192 and completed by Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo‐Islamic Afghan architecture. Later drive past the spectacular India Gate (the memorial built to commemorate the unknown soldiers), The President’s House and Government Buildings (ministry offices). Tour end with visit to Gurudwara Bangla Shaib – Sikh Temple . (Meals : Breakfast) DAY 03: DELHI/AGRA Morning: drive by surface to Agra (203 Kms / 04 Hrs approximately). Agra: Traditions ascribes the foundation of the present city of Agra, situated on the banks of Yamuna river. Agra came into limelight during the rule of the Afghan King, Sikandar Lodhi, who made it the capital of his empire. The next few hundred years of Agra witnessed rise of the pomp and pageantry of three great Mughal monarchs – Emperor Akbar, Jehangir and Shahjahan. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Time to relax at your hotel. Late afternoon proceed for visit to Agra fort. Agra Fort – the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. The Agra Fort presents a formidable appearance with its vast walls, standing seventy feet in height, and a mile and a half in circuit, with imposing turrets and gateways. – It was in this very fort that Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son, Aurangzeb. Also visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday’s). Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried from 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in mid 17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world. Overnight at hotel (Meals : Breakfast) DAY 04: AGRA / FATHEPUR SIKRI / JAIPUR Early morning at Sun rise ( Optional ) Morning after breakfast Check out and proceed for Jaipur en‐route visiting ‐ Fatehpur Sikri (250 Kms / 07 Hrs Approximately) Fatehpur Sikri – Built during the second half of the 16th century by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only some 10 years. Fatehpur Sikri bears exceptional testimony to the Mughal civilization at the end of the 16th century. It offers a unique example of architectural ensembles of very high quality constructed between 1571 and 1585. Step wells which were invented by the natives to harvest rain water. These tanks were used as cool places of retreat and as water reservoirs during parched times of the year. Jaipur is popularly known as the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. (Meal: Breakfast) DAY 05 : JAIPUR Morning after breakfast proceed for Excursion to Amber Fort with a photo stops at Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Amber Fort Palace is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Enjoy short jeep ride to reach atop of the palace. The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh the fort was made in red sand stone and white marble. The rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise with a beautiful fusion of art and architecture. Amber is the classic and romantic fort‐palace with a magnificent aura. From here continue for Sightseeing tour of city visiting City Palace, a beautiful palace complex full of treasures now housed in the museum area. City Palace is a delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Also visit Jantar Mantar or Royal Astronomical Observatory. This observatory is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja (King) Jai Singh II at his then new capital of Jaipur between 1727 and 1734..
