RCES’ young ladies have their own Enchanted Evening The Father-Daughter Dance was a night filled with dancing and fun for the many who attended. See more photos on page 4. Fifth graders present a Living Biography Display Mrs. Herndon’s fifth grade social studies students presented a Living Biography Display in Synergy Square. Each student chose an influential person who lived during the Roaring 20’s. After researching the life of that person, the students wrote reports and created the Living Biography Displays. The RCES student body was invited to take a tour of the displays which included Babe Ruth, Susan B. Anthony, Emory Malick, King Oliver, Cab Calloway, Jackie Robinson, Ray Bradbury, , Aaron Douglas, Duke Ellington, , , Mary Pickford, , , and Nella Larson. As part of the float/sink experiment, the students put objects in water to test the results. Miss Sarah Catherine Williams’ and Mrs. Stephanie Mitchell’s classes enjoyed starting their raised garden beds outside of the red hall. They planted potatoes and sweet onions while discussing the planting process and what they need to do to care for the plants. Can’t wait to taste them!
