Upon arrival in Nanchang airport, please claim all your luggage before you wait in the domestic arrivals and notice the sign writes “Jiangxi College of Foreign Studies”. Feel free to contact the project organizer if you keep waiting for more than 15 minutes. 6. If your check-in luggage is lost, you should call the project organizer firstly to confirm the baggage delivery address, and then fill in the registration form of the airline company. 7. Please pay attention to the weather conditions in the host city and take suitable clothes with you; light footwear are preferred for field visits; formal clothes or ethnic costumes are required in major events during the seminar. 8. Jiangxi College of Foreign Studies is a co-developed college of the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and the Ministry of Commerce of China and one of the first group of Demonstrative Vocational Colleges in Jiangxi Province. The college has been successively designated as “Jiangxi Province International Economic and Foreign Trade Personnel Training Center”, “Jiangxi Province Open-Economy Intelligence Training Center”, one of the training base for the leading cadres of the business administrative authorities from the prefecture-level cities in China, “MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials” and was awarded one of the Top 50 Vocational Colleges of International Influence of China.
The college, covering an area of over 370,000 square meters, consists of 12 departments and 49 majors, including 11 foreign languages. Organizer The college has been the organizer of foreign aid training projects since 2010, covering over 10 fields such as public management, energy and minerals, trade and economy, manufacturing industry, party and government, business services, water conservancy and environmental management, culture and sports, transportation and logistics, and financial industry. And these projects involve technical training courses and seminars at ministerial and director’s level.
By the end of 2018, the college had successfully organized 148 foreign aid training projects, and had trained 3,890 international business officials from 126 developing countries, including Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Jiangxi College of Foreign Studies is to host the “Seminar on Government Effectiveness and Efficiency for Developing Countries” from Oct. 8th to Oct. 28th, 2019, which will be conducted in English and will last for 21 days.
Through a combination of lectures, discussions, case studies and field trips, the seminar will be well-focused on the following topics: Improving Government Capacity, Enhancing Good Governance, China's Modernization of National Governance and Governance Capacity Building, China’s Government Institutions Reform, Application and Efficiency of E-government, Practical Models of Chinese Government Performance Measurement, etc. so as to share Chinese successful experience in related fields. While taking full advantages of the teaching resources of our college, we will also invite experts and scholars from Renmin University of China, China Foreign Affairs University, China Agricultural University, South China Normal University, and Jiangxi Normal University as lecturers. Seminar Content In addition to lectures and discussions, we will organize trip to 101 Zhihui Building in Nanchang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone to explore how Skynet monitoring system improves urban management efficiency; trip to Fuzhou Troila Information Technology Co., LTD to explore the construction of government efficiency in the era of big data; trip to Hangzhou Administrative Service Center to explore mechanism innovation and process simplification in administrative examination and approval process; trip to Shanghai Civic Center to explore its specific measures to improve the quality and efficiency of government public services. We will also arrange visits to experience urban construction and development of Nanchang City, Hangzhou City, and Shanghai City, which will facilitate a better understanding of Chinese social economic development as well as of Chinese experience and Chinese model, thus promoting international communication and cooperation.
