South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster established itself in 2011 under the philosophy of high-end experimen- tation. With a focus on product, space, styling, campaign, and service, Gentle Monster aims to deliver a radically new perspective on design. This idea extends from their product design into their retail spaces and special projects. Their refusal to be recognized as simply an eyewear brand is expressed through every frame, project, and store.
Gentle Monster’s futuristic approach including their question of the concept of a store especially in these times is one of their most important values to explore and promote. Our times are all about setting a perspective for the future, their progressive aspect is crucial.
Among their various collaborators are brands such as Alexander Wang, Ambush, Fendi, Hood by Air and Opening Cer- emony, as well as creative partnerships with artists Frederik Heyman or Matthew Stone.
