Our goal and plan is by late September we would start the excavation and foundation work.

The main temple stone carving work in by the stapathy and his team of silpis is progressing per schedule. The stapathy team has completed 11 out of the 15 layers of stone work. The plan is to get the first shipment of completed stone work close to 300 tonnes in early December this year. Shilpis will arrive shortly there after for garbhalayam construction work.

The Lord Himself made him compose the hymn where each sloka incorporates some Bi:ja aksharas. Cosmic administration is said to be in 33 divisions. Likewise the great ashtakshari dwayi have a total of 33 syllables. Sri Desika has composed and favoured us with this hymn in such a manner that each sloka has within it the divine power of the aksharas. Great souls have been witness to this. For this reason, great acharyas of the past as well as learned scholars of the present times hold this hymn in high esteem as the bestower of great power of speech and knowledge with understanding. We have covered Slokas 1 – 18 in previous newsletters. In October 2014 newsletter we will cover slokas 19 and 20.

Hayagriva Swami! May I always prostrate at Your Lotus-Feet. Due to the merit earned over a number of previous births, I am now able to pay obeisance at Your Feet. These prostrations are not for acquiring any worldly pleasures. May they be mere instruments to enable me to stay near You which is an ever-new experience. These prostrations enable me to serve You, Your devotees and to sing Your praise. Grant that they be at Your Lotus-Feet always.

O Hayagriva! Let even a small speck of the dust of Your Lotus-Feet fall on my head. I do not know what my destiny is – whether I will be far away from You and suffer. I should not be away from You even for a fraction of a second. May my destiny be such that, all my endeavours are successful. I cannot ensure this myself. This can be only by the dust of Your Feet. Even Gods like reverentially place the dust of Your Lotus-Feet on their heads, so that their destiny may be favourable. Grant that same dust may lie on my head so that I may become a worthy person. ...will continue in next newsletter

Azhwar begins to identify whose feet he wants to devote his mind and time on - He says he wants to constantly have his mind on MurAri (the one who killed the Mura), the one who has lotus shaped eyes and who adorns the Shanka and Chakra. He cries that he is not aware of anything which is greater than the nectar like thought of Hari's feet. ...will continue in next newsletter 4 Significant Past Events (September 2014) Lotus Sanskriti Academy Balavihar Classes: On September 7th Sunday, Lotus Sanskriti Academy started with great energy, enthusiasm by returning students, new students and parents. 5 Samskruthi Vidyalaya updates What a wonderful Navarathri celebration this year at Balavikas!! The children learned Mahalakshmi Ashtakam & Medha Suktam today. We pray that they become a lifelong learners and be astute universal citizens taking care of Mother Earth. Anchored in our Vedic Heritage always. The children got a very deep sense of what Navarathri celebration means and I am sure it is being reinforced at home with pray- ers over these 9 days. Enacting the Mahishasura play internalized the story for them and they will remember this for a long time to come. Great to see the children show so much interest in learning our sampradhayam.
