CELEBRATING 40 YEARS AT THE CHAPLAINCY CENTRE! ALUMNI IN PRINT

Gary and Ann Skinner (neé Swain) were the first couple to use the chaplaincy chapel for the solemnisation of a marriage on the 8th February 1975 and returned this year for a special ceremony to celebrate their 40 years.

Both were biology students - Gary was in his last year of PhD study and Ann was in her last year of her BSc. They obtained a special licence to use the Galgate register to license the centre for the wedding and Paul Warren officiated at the marriage. The couple returned in 2015 with their three children and families including the three grandchildren.
