Worship Song Lyrics:

Made A Way

Standing here not knowing how we'll get through this test But holding onto faith you know best Nothing can catch you by surprise You've got this figured out and you're watching us now

But when it looks as if we can't win You wrap us in your arm and step in And everything we need you supply You got this in control And now we know that

You made a way When our backs were against the wall And it looked as if it was over You made a way And we're standing here Only because you made a way You made a way

Now we're here Looking back on where we come from Because of you and nothing we've done To deserve the love and mercy you've shown But your grace was strong enough to pick us up

And you made a way When our backs were against the wall And it looked as if it was over You made a way And we're standing here Only because you made a way

You move mountains You cause walls to fall With your power Perform miracles There is nothing that's impossible And we're standing here Only because you made a way

You made a way

Don't know how but you did it Made a way Don't know how but you did it Made a way

Don't know why but I'm grateful

God Of Justice

God of Justice Saviour to all Came to rescue the weak and the poor Chose to serve and not be served

Jesus You have called us Freely we've received Now freely we will give

We must go Live to feed the hungry Stand beside the broken We must go Stepping forward Keep us from just singing Move us into action We must go

To act justly every day Loving mercy in every way Walking humbly before You God You have shown us what You require Freely we've received Now freely we will give

Fill us up and send us out Fill us up and send us out Fill us up and send us out Lord (Repeat)

Great Are You Lord

You give life You are love You bring light to the darkness You give hope You restore ev'ry heart that is broken And great are You Lord

It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise We pour out our praise It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise to You only

And all the earth will shout Your praise Our hearts will cry these bones will sing Great are You Lord (Repeat)

Scripture for the Sermon:

Romans 12:3-8 NIV

3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Romans 12:3-8 The Message

3 I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.

4-6 In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.

6-8 If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don’t take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate; if you’re called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face.

Questions for Reflection & Discussion:

• How has God gifted you? • How are you presently using your gifts? • How can your gift be nurtured to maturity? • How is God calling you right now, in this season, to be faithful?

Instructions Related to In-Person Worship:

In John 13:34-35 Jesus says: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

In this short and familiar passage, Jesus calls us to love others, the way he has loved us. Love shows up many different ways. Perhaps the best way is putting others before ourselves. It is with this in mind, we have established the following safety protocols:

• Masks are to be worn for the entirety of the time gathered with the church • Attendance has been limited for each service • Registration is necessary before and once you’ve arrived, to help with contact tracing (in case that becomes needed at any point) • Practicing social distancing (sitting six feet apart, asking families to remain together) • Hand sanitizers are available, and we will be cleaning in between services • No physical contact with others (sorry, no handshaking or hugging) • Lastly, we hope you haven’t chosen to worship in-person if you know that you have been exposed to Covid-19 or if you have any symptoms of illness.

These protocols help slow down and even stop the spread of the virus. In a public setting like this, these protocols are a way for us to protect one another. For all of us, this is a sacrifice. But sacrificial love looks like Christ, and it blesses other. Thank you for joining us in loving one another this way.
