Assistant Lifeguard Instructor Course

The Assistant Lifeguard Instructor (ALGI) Course prepares Instructors to teach the Red Cross Assistant Lifeguard course. With the required prerequisites, candidates enter into our comprehensive Instructor Development Program, which is delivered in a blended learning format.

Course Components & Length „„ ALGI – Online: approximately 5 hours 2. Recertification After the second year, and every two years following, the ALGI will renew their certification by attending a Water Safety Instructor Recertification Course. The ALGI must inform his/her WSIT that he/she is attending the course for both WSI and ALGI recertification.
