2 MARYLAND BLUE CRAB CLUSTER COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING PLAN EVENT ATTENDEES VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES. SIGN WAIVER ON NEXT PAGE. The following plan is designated at this time for the Maryland Blue Crab Cluster of Dog Shows and subject to change. Failure to comply could subject the individual to being removed from the grounds and/or disciplinary action in accordance with AKC's Dealing with Misconduct booklet. 1. NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED. THESE SHOWS ARE CLOSED TO GENERAL PUBLIC. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ACCESS PASS ON YOU AT ALL TIMES, EVEN WHEN SHOWING. All attendees (officials, judges, stewards, exhibitors and all workers) are required to follow state, local and facility guidelines in effect at the time of the event. 2. EXPOSURE TO COVID-19. If you have been recently in the presence of a person who has either tested positive for Covid-19 or has symptoms (coughing, sneezing, temperature), please stay home. If you are ill, feel unwell, coughing, sneezing or running a temperature, please stay home. All attendees are expected to adhere to social distancing guidelines and are required to wear a face covering. MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN BUILDING, UNDER TENTS, RINGS AND VENDOR AREAS. 3. Please remember to bring personal face coverings, hand sanitizer, gloves, cleaning wipes, etc. for your own personal use. 4. Exhibitors and all participants should SANITIZE hands as frequently as possible. Sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the facility for use. 5. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SHOW AND GO PHILOSOPHY: To minimize the number of persons near the rings at any one time, be aware of and adhere to your scheduled times. Do not arrive at your designated location more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and exit the area upon completion of your participation. Every ring will have ringside crating available in designated areas only. Each ring will have an entrance and an exit gate to cut down on traffic. Each ring will also have tables for self-serve ring numbers and for ribbons and trophies. 6. NO OVERNIGHT CRATING DUE TO COVID-19, SO THAT BUILDING CAN BE DEEP-CLEANED EACH NIGHT. 7. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the building and under the tents. 8. After receipt of a signed waiver and successful required temperature check, individuals will be provided a wristband. Wristbands must be worn at all times inside the show building. If you lose your wristband or require a replacement you will need to complete a new signed waiver and successfully complete a new required temperature check.

Show chairperson has the right to change the rules due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time of the show.

3 Kennel Club of Anne Arundel Southern Maryland Kennel Club Cluster Waiver This Show will be held in compliance with COVID-19 state and local public health guidelines. Facility and host club safety rules will be updated as the Virginia Department of Public Health releases new requirements. Please be patient and understanding as we work to provide a safe environment for all.

4 Notice to Exhibitors Vehicle lights must be left on while loading and unloading. With the exception of Handicapped and official club business, motorized scooters will not be allowed. All persons and animals on the event grounds at any time while the events are in progress, do by attending these events or participating therein, grant to the clubs, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by authorized officers of the clubs, the right to photograph, televise, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The kennel clubs are not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at these events. Warning: Due to incidences that have occurred at other shows, we highly recommend that you do not leave dogs unattended in cars, exercise pens or motor homes; and we suggest that you secure your crates for the safety of your dogs. No retractable/flexible leads allowed near the show rings. NO SAVING OF PARKING SPACES WITHOUT SITE CONTROL APPROVAL . The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on each day of the events. Parents must be responsible for their children. Children must be kept under supervision at all times. For your child's safety baby strollers with children aboard are not allowed around the rings. THE MARYLAND BLUE CRAB CLUSTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ANIMAL IN DISTRESS FROM A PARKED VEHICLE OR CRATE, AND ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THESE DOG EVENTS HEREBY WAIVE ANY CLAIM FOR DAMAGES AGAINST THE CLUBS FOR SUCH REMOVAL Site will be available for RV s at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday. Doors locked from 8:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Parking Fee $5.00 per car per day. Crate identification labels and contact numbers are required. Ample trash cans will be available in the show areas. All persons should take into consideration this is a sporting event and dress, act and exercise caution appropriate for the activity involved. All persons entering the show, the grounds, site and show areas for whatever purpose do so entirely at their own risk. 5 Maryland Blue Crab Cluster RV & Reserved Prime Parking

Overnight reservations are available on a first come, first served basis.

RVs may arrive on the grounds to park after 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, March 31, 2021. The fee is $50.00 per night per space. As available, those using electricity will incur an additional fee. RV parking will be in assigned spaces and only one vehicle permitted per space. A tow unit with a trailer is considered one vehicle. All units must be self contained. No waste or gray water may be discharged onto the grounds. Confirmation will only be sent if a stamped self- addressed envelope is included with the reservation request. This confirmation will include a reference number which will help parking personnel direct you to your RV space quickly. Please include a “self-addressed stamped envelope” for confirmation of reservation. If you wish to park next to a particular party, the reservation applications must be received in the same envelope. No cones or other means of saving space will be allowed unless directed by Site Control personnel. Overnight parking is a privilege extended by the Meadow Event Park and The Maryland Blue Crab Cluster Clubs. No abusive or argumentative language will be permitted. Failure to follow the rules or direction of the Officials on duty will cause the immediate forfeiture of all parking privileges without refund of fees paid. Parking is strictly at the exhibitor’s own risk. The Maryland Blue Crab Cluster Clubs are not responsible for loss by fire, theft, damage or loss of personal property or injury to the animal exhibits. Generators will be silent from 11:00 P.M. until 5:00 A.M. There is no Handicapped parking for Recreational Vehicles.

If a dog is entered in more than one class in one of these events, the AKC Recording Fee and Service Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has been processed, no refund will be made. CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING. DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging will be excused. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club and the superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent to be advised at once. The Superintendent and Show-giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED. An administrative fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Please remember our members at the gate are volunteers. Any abuse of our gate workers may result in a bench show hearing.

8 Best Owner-Handled in Show Competition - National Owner-Handled Series All Four Days

The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition. The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Group. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. ! If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are both ineligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. ! If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best Owner- Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. ! If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed or in Best of Winners Competition. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: , English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Irish , Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chinese Shar-Pei, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Norrbottenspets (Misc). At the discretion of the judge the following breed may be judged on the table or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Cardigan Welsh Corgis. At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp or on a table: Boykin Spaniels and . The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Basset , and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation doing shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offers Group and BIS competitions. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any ground breed. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds.

9 PEE WEE JUNIOR HANDLER SPECIAL ATTRACTION SATURDAY, APRIL 3, 2021 JUDGE: JOHNNY SHOEMAKER

During the lunch break, children between 5 years to under 9 years can join the fun of dog showing. The new class is being offered to inspire young handlers to love and show their dogs. This event is for "exhibition only" and there will be no placements of the entries. All children will receive the same participation award from the judge. Day of the show entries will be accepted at the club table from 10AM-12 Noon. Dogs are to be AKC recognized breed and at least 4 months old. Children enter the ring with their dog one at a time. For more information, contact The Club. Prior to the beginning of the class, the responsible adult will sign a RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM. Check-in or enter at the table by AM Each child will receive a Rosette and participation gift.

! Child must be between the ages of five and nine years ! A dog must be at least four months of age to enter the Pee Wee Class ! Bitches in season will not be allowed to participate. If pre-entered, a dog may be substituted that meets the eligibility requirements as specified by the Club. ! All dogs entered must have the proper lead and collar. ! A responsible adult must be present with the child both inside and outside the ring. The adult is to maintain control of the dog outside the ring. ! All AKC full recognized, Miscellaneous and FSS Breeds are eligible for this event including dogs with a PAL Listing. ! The AKC registered pure bred dogs must be registered to participate. ! A release must be signed by the child's parent or legal guardian. This release will be available on site and must be signed before going into the ring.

The safety of both the dogs and Juniors inside and outside the ring is a primary concern. Outside of the ring, the dog is to be controlled by the adult accompanying the child. An additional lead, provided by the Club, will be at the Judge's table. At the judge's discretion based upon the size of the child and the dog, for safety purposes the adult may be asked to attach a second lead to the dog so both child and adult will walk the dog together.

NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOVICE SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. MASTER CLASS: This Class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National . All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to entry the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. Competition must exist for Best Junior Handler. NOTICE JUNIORS WITH A DOG ALSO ENTERED IN ANOTHER CLASS OFFERED AT THIS SHOW WHO SUBSTITUTE A DOG NOT ENTERED IN THIS SHOW MUST REMIT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUNIOR ONLY AND JUNIOR AS AN ADDITIONAL CLASS ENTRY FEE. JUNIORS WHO HAVE ENTERED JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ONLY WHO THEN SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER DOG WILL NOT BE CHARGED A FURTHER FEE.

A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES. INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniels (Black, ASCOB, Parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in.; over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (Longhaired, Smooth, Wirehaired), Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers (Standard, Toy), Chihuahuas (Smooth Coat, Long Coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (Toy, Miniature, Standard), Collies (Rough, Smooth). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14, Section 3.). 5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog "All-American Dog/Mixed Breed." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed etrants.
