When the highways split, take 202 South for two miles and make a right onto Milltown Road. North Branch Park is on the left. Northbound: Route 287 North to Exit 14B Route 22 West. Take Exit 202/206 South. When the highways split, take 202 South for two miles and make a right onto Milltown Road. North Branch Park is on the left. From Route 22 Westbound: Follow Route 22 West to Route 202/206 South. After a half mile, the highways split. Take Route 202 South. Approximately 2 miles down Route 202, you will then travel under a train overpass. Make a right at the next turn onto Milltown Road. Travel a half mile, and North Branch Park will be on the left. Eastbound: Follow Route 22 East through Branchburg. Make a right turn onto Milltown Road. Follow Milltown Road for 1 mile and bear right under the railroad trestle. North Branch Park will be on the right. From 206 Northbound: Follow Route 206 until the Somerville Circle. Exit off of the circle onto Route 202 south. Approximately 2 miles down Route 202, you will travel under a train overpass. Make a right at the next turn onto Milltown Road. Travel a half mile, and North Branch Park will be on the left. From Route 78 Westbound: Follow Route 78 West to Route 287 South. Then follow the above directions for Route 287 South. Eastbound: Follow Route 78 East to Route 22 East. Then follow the above directions for Route 22 East. ATTENTION RECREATIONAL VEHICLE RESERVED PARKING Overnight Parking is available Friday night August 6, 2021. Pre-registration rate per night is $35.00 if you pre-register. (See forms on pages 5 & 6) The rate is $45.00 per night payable on-site to the park rangers if you did NOT pre-register. No cones or other means of saving space will be allowed. The Hunterdon Hills Kennel Club or Somerset County Park Commission is not responsible for any loss by fire, theft, damage or loss of personal property or injury to exhibitor’s dogs. Generators must be silent from 11:00 pm until 5:00 am. 4 5 6 Owner-Handled Series Saturday & Sunday, August 7 & 8, 2021 The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any competition during the entire show. The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Group. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. ! If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are both ineligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. ! If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best Owner- Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. ! If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed or in Best of Winners Competition. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog.
