11 8 27 TAYLORS CLOSE 12 7 Sidney Taylor opened a very successful grocery shop in 13 6 Woodstock in 1931 and since then, the Taylor Family have specialised in an entirely new vocation as talented carpenters and antique furniture restorers. The family business still runs today, though you’ll now find them in Moreton-in-Marsh. 14 5 15 TURRILLS ROW Turrill’s Store was impeccably run for a number of years, and offered lots of delicacies alongside the usual run of groceries. The store was separated into two lots and is now occupied by Woodstock’s Chinese restaurant The Chef Imperial and the Sue Ryder Charity Shop. 3 4 COWELLS ROAD The Cowells family owned and operated the town’s newsagent, 1 2 now called Mary & Martins. PARSONS DRIVE The Parsons family owned both a café and greengrocers on Market Street. Part of their old premises is now the site of the Barefoot Café.
BOWLERS WAY The Bowlers were the owners of the town’s sweet shop, located almost immediately outside of Blenheim’s Woodstock Gate on Park Street. The shop was known the town over for their huge collection of confections and the irresistible smell of chocolate as you opened the door.
