Glimpses of the “Awareness Programme on Language Maintenance and Revitalization’’

1. Onaeme Community, : An awareness programme on Language Maintenance and Revitalization of Onaeme Language was conducted from 20th February to 21st February 2020, at village, District, Manipur by CFEL team, Dr. Bobita Sarangthem Assistant Professor and Dr. Elangbam Mani Mohan Meitei, Research Associate, Centre for Endangered Languages, Tezpur University.

2. Purum Community, Manipur: On 23rd march, 2020, the awareness programme on language maintenance and revitalization of Purum at Purum Likli village, district, Manipur was conducted by CFEL team, Dr. Bobita Sarangthem Assistant Professor and Dr. Elangbam Mani Mohan Meitei, Research Associate Centre for Endangered Languages, Tezpur University.

3. Biate, Hrangkhol and Khelma Community, : On February 28, 2020, the team conducted the awareness programme at Haflong, the headquarter of , Assam for the languages: Biate, Hrangkhol and Khelma, at Cultural Institute Hall, Haflong for the three speech communities. The team members are Dr. Monali Longmailai, Assistant Prof. CFEL, Rajuram Boro and Rima Saikia (Field Assistants), and Dr. Pushpa Renu Bhattacharya (Research Associate).

4. Yimchunger Community, : On 22nd-23rd February 2020, the team conducted the awareness programme at Shamator Town, Tuensang district, Nagaland, for the Yimchunger community. The team members are: Dr.Amalesh Gope, Assistant Professor, Dept. of English (Linguistics wing), Dr. I.D. Raguibou, Research Associate and Mr.Dinkur Borah, Field Assistant.

Liangmai Community, Nagaland: On 25th-26th February, 2020, the team conducted an awareness programme at , Nagaland for Liangmai community. The team members are: Dr.Amalesh Gope, Assistant Professor, Dept. of English (Linguistics wing),and Dr. Widinibou, Research Associate, CFEL.
