In April 2012, the Sisters of Christian Charity generously extended Jo- sephinum’s lease for the use of its facility through 2025, at a rate of just $10 per year. The fair-market value of rent for Josephinum’s facility is estimated to be $400,000 per year, and the new lease extension represents a non-cash gift of $4,000,000 over its term. In accordance with standard accounting procedures, this donation has been recorded as a “Temporarily Restricted Net Asset” at its net present value of $3,244,358.
