    I OWA COORDINATING COUNCIL FOR P OST HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION ANNUAL REPORT 2003-2004 Mission Statement The mission of the Iowa Coordinating Council for Post High Education (ICCPHSE) is to provide an effective means of voluntary cooperation and coordination among the various boards and institutions which are responsible for post high school education in Iowa. This mission is to be accomplished by: ∗ Providing a means for the systematic gathering of data and making such data available in usable form to the colleges, their boards, and all other agencies in need of such information. ∗ Making studies of problems, policies, curriculum, finance, facilities, and other factors which are pertinent to planning and developing of post high school education in Iowa. ∗ Receiving information from boards and institutions concerning their problems, plans, and legislative requests. ∗ Making recommendations to governing boards and institutions and to the public which will aid in the development of statewide coordination of postsecondary education. Membership The general membership of the Council shall consist of all colleges and universities in Iowa that participate in state supported student financial aid programs administered by the Iowa College Student Aid Commission and constituent agencies, boards, and associations.     Research on Waldorf Graduates in North America, Phase 1 Faith Baldwin, Douglas Gerwin, and David Mitchell EDITORIAL NOTE: The Research Institute for Waldorf Education has completed Phase I of its research project, “Research on Waldorf Graduates.” We are pleased to present the report from this first phase of the research project with this issue of the Research Bulletin. Although the body of the report is printed here in its entirety, we have omitted all the appendices except Appendix E and Appendix F. (The other appendices are available on request). This initial project will form a foundation for the more in-depth research that will now begin with Phase 2. Readers of this report will be interested to learn that Waldorf graduates are being accepted by and attending not only the finest universities and colleges in North America but around the world. Especially intriguing is the number of students (22.8%) who opted to defer college for a year in order to pursue an impressive array of other creative and unique programs.
