Minutes of the Deeside League AGM held at Banchory Golf Club at 7.30pm on Thursday 10 October 2019

Present: Colin Smith (Secretary), Craig Lindsay (Banchory), John Macfarlane (Stonehaven), Mark Connolly (Lumphanan), Colin Crooke (Lumphanan), Ryan Anderson (Tarland), Ian Elmslie (Portlethen), John Sutherland (Aboyne), Paul Wilson (Torphins), Wiliam McWilliam (Peterculter)

Apologies: Ann Smart (Banchory), Richie Anderson (Peterculter)

Approval of the Minutes of the AGM 2018. Proposed by Ian Elmslie and seconded by Colin Crooke.

Matters Arising:

There were no matters arising.

Scott Trophy

Hosted by Lumphanan, the winners in 2019 were Peterculter. Gordon Lees (Ballater) won the Barclay Harvey Trophy.

Only 4 teams competed. The situation will be monitored.

Aboyne will host on 31st May 2020

Ian Elmslie confirmed that Portlethen had rescheduled their fixture list to compete in this Trophy.

Kincardine & Deeside Pennant

Hosted by Peterculter, the winners in 2019 were Peterculter in both sections.

Banchory will host the 2020 competition – date to be confirmed (12th July for both sections) .

Harry Shepherd Trophy

Hosted by Braemar, the winners in 2019 were Peterculter

Lumphanan will host the 2020 competition on Sunday 4th October.

Deeside League

The winners in 2019 were Banchory on 14 points, 3 points ahead of Portlethen and Peterculter.

Plus Four Scratch KO Competition

The winners in 2019 were Peterculter who beat Stonehaven in the final held at Portlethen.

Ian MacLaren Handicap KO Competition

The winners in 2019 were Peterculter who beat Ballater in the final held at Banchory.

An excellent season for Peterculter, winning everything apart from the League.

The date for the 2020 AGM was set for 8th October, 7.30pm at Banchory.

Thanks to Banchory Golf Club for hosting the AGM.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 7.50pm
