Installing Silverlight

Follow these steps to install the current version of Silverlight if you are prompted to install Microsoft Silverlight when you launch Dayforce WFM.

Internet Explorer:

1. Click the Install Microsoft Silverlight button.

2. The File Download window will appear at the bottom of the browser, select Run.

3. A prompt ask you to confirm installation. Click Install now.

4. Silverlight downloads to your computer. This may take a few minutes.

5. When it is finished you’ll see the message “Installation successful.” Click the Close button.

6. Now you can launch Dayforce. Visit the URL provided on the “Employee Resources” page on Imagine!’s website to log in. Firefox:

1. Click the Install Microsoft Silverlight button.

2. The File Download window displays, select Save File.

3. In the upper right hand corner of your browser select the download drop down arrow and double click Silverlight_x64.exe.

4. An “Open File – Security Warning” dialog box will prompt, select Run.

5. A prompt ask you to confirm installation. Click Install now.

6. Silverlight downloads to your computer. This may take a few minutes.

7. When it is finished you’ll see the message “Installation successful.” Click the Close button.

8. Now you can launch Dayforce. Visit the URL provided on the “Employee Resources” page on Imagine!’s website to log in.

Chrome:

1. Click the Install Microsoft Silverlight button.

2. The File Download window displays at the bottom of the browser, select Silverlight_x64.exe.

3. An “Open File – Security Warning” dialog box will prompt, select Run.

4. A prompt ask you to confirm installation. Click Install now.

5. Silverlight downloads to your computer. This may take a few minutes.

6. When it is finished you’ll see the message “Installation successful.” Click the Close button.

7. Now you can launch Dayforce. Visit the URL provided on the “Employee Resources” page on Imagine!’s website to log in.

Mac with Safari:

1. Click the Install Microsoft Silverlight button.

2. The Downloads Folder window will appear, double click Silverlight.dmg.

3. Another window will open, double click Silverlight.pkg.

4. An install prompt ask you to continue installation, click Continue.

5. The software license agreement will prompt next, click Continue.

6. A software license agreement dialog box will appear, select Agree.

7. Next select the Macintosh HD for the destination, click Continue. On the following screen click Install.

8. At this point you will be prompted for your security credentials, enter your password and select Install Software.

9. Silverlight will now install on your computer. This may take a few minutes. When finished you’ll see the message “Installation successful.” Click the Close button.

10. Now you can launch Dayforce. Visit the URL provided on the “Employee Resources” page on Imagine!’s website to log in.
