Activity: End User Computer System Requirements and Settings TCM (Attachments) Silverlight Viewer – Elevated Permissions Information Activity: End User Computer System Requirements and Settings TCM (attachments) Silverlight Viewer – Elevated Permissions Information Minimum system requirements (recommended specifications in parenthesis) Microsoft Windows Users Apple Users Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit) OS X 10.8 (OS X 10.9) 2 GB RAM (4 GB RAM) 2 GB RAM (4 GM RAM) Screen Resolution 1024 x 768 Screen Resolution 1024 x 768 Microsoft Silverlight 5.1 Microsoft Silverlight 5.1 Internet Explorer 10 (Internet Explorer 11) Safari 6.2 with auto-updates enabled Microsoft Office 2010 Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 Browser settings The Munis system launches additional browser tabs/windows as needed. For this reason, please make sure to disable any pop-up blocking from within the browser’s settings. Internet Explorer and Safari are the only two officially supported browsers. For Internet Explorer users only, ensure that the following sites are added to the browser’s trusted sites: https://munis.pasco.k12.fl.us https://mas.pasco.k12.fl.us https://munistcm.pasco.k12.fl.us For Safari users on laptops only, ensure that Safari is not disabling plug-ins while on battery by toggling off the Stop plug-ins to save power option in the advanced preferences tab. Do NOT save passwords to keychains or web browsers, as this will cause log-in difficulties when passwords are changed. Unsupported Browsers Firefox, Chrome, and Edge are not officially supported and may not be compatible with Munis functions. Download and install Silverlight 1. Navigate to http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight 2. Click DOWNLOAD NOW under the Get Silverlight 5 header – if Silverlight is already present and up-to-date this option will not appear 3. Run the Silverlight installer a. The initial setup process may vary based upon OS environment i. Windows users may have the option to directly run the program from the download dialogue box ii. Other Windows users, as well as Apple users, will navigate to the installer’s download location and run the program b. Windows users may be prompted by User Account Control as to whether the program is trusted – click Yes c. In the Install Silverlight menu, de-select any options that prompt changes in search engines and home page d. Click Install now i. Apple users may be prompted to enter their administrator authorization – this is the computer’s (not Munis) login and password e. Click close once the installation process is complete 4. Quit Safari/Internet Explorer in order to finalize the installation process Page 1 of 2 Munis v.11.1 1/13/2016 Elevated trust in TCM/Attachments Elevated trust is an Attachments option available only on a Windows platform – Apple users will see the elevated trust message but cannot run the installer to permit elevated trust. Enabling elevated trust permits the end user to scan documents directly into Munis, rather than importing them from the user’s computer. Enable elevated trust on a WINDOWS environment only 1. Click on the elevated trust message highlighted in yellow 2. Click Run on the download prompt that appears on the bottom of the screen – a warning message may appear depending on browser and system settings a. If a message indicates that the publisher of the installer cannot be verified, click Run b. If a message indicates that the file is not commonly downloaded, click Actions, select More Options, and click Run Anyway c. If a message appears from User Account Control requests permission to make changes to the computer, click Yes 3. After any warning messages have been addressed, the installer window will appear – it may be hidden beneath under other active windows a. Click Next on the welcome screen b. When prompted to input the TCM server name or IP address input https://munistcm.pasco.k12.fl.us and click Next c. Click Install on the Silverlight permissions installer prompt – if a message appears from User Account Control requests permission to make changes to the computer, click Yes d. Click Finish 4. Click Close Viewer to exit the attachments screen and finalize elevated trust Page 2 of 2 Munis v.11.1 1/13/2016 .

    1. Download the Zip file containing the PC installer here: Install on Windows (this can be found on our website here: https://thedawsonacademy.com/dawson-diagnostic- wizard/) 2. Run the installer downloaded from the Dawson site. It will require administrator privileges. Click Yes to continue. 3. You will see the installer unpacking files and then see a message box letting you know that the installation will proceed. 4. Next, Microsoft Silverlight will be installed. Silverlight is the engine that runs the Dawson Wizard App. Click OK Uncheck the Bing and MSN boxes unless you want this, and click “Install now”. Note that any box that’s left check, will have that feature enabled for ALL your installed Browsers on your computer. Silverlight will proceed with the Install and you will see this window. Click “Close” to Continue. If Silverlight requires any additional configuration, you will see this window which will automatically close and take you to the next step when completed. 5. The next message window lets you know that the Dawson Wizard App installation step is about to proceed. After clicking OK, a Browser window will open where you will log into your account and the Dawson Wizard App will be downloaded and installed on your computer. Enter Credentials Wait for Download to finish Click “Install Application” and you will get another Install Window. Click “Install”: 6. Once the Install finishes, you’ll see the Dawson Wizard App running and a message box saying that the Install was successful. Click OK on the message box and log into the Dawson Wizard App with your credentials.

    CLA Client Portal Browser and Silverlight FAQs 1. Question: I am receiving an “Error 500” when clicking the link to access the CLA Document Portal. Resolution: Verify with your IT department that the portal is not blocked by any internal monitoring or protection applications. 2. Question: How do I know if my computer has Microsoft Silverlight Installed? Resolution: The first time you try and login to the portal you will be prompted to install Silverlight from Microsoft’s website if you don’t have it already installed. The installation typically takes less than one minute and is completely safe. http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx If you cannot, or prefer not to, install Silverlight on your machine, a simplified version of the document portal that does not require Silverlight is available. Click on the Take me to the non- Silverlight login on the CLA Document Portal page (www.claconnect.com/docportal). 3. Question: I cannot access the CLA Document Portal. (Server error/Page not found) Resolution: Check that you are using a Microsoft Silverlight 4 compatible browser on all PC’s or MAC. A complete list of browsers and operating systems that support Silverlight 4 can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/locale/en-us/html/installation-win-SL4.html Please note: Internet Explorer users are required to add the portal URL to Trusted Sites.
