This was revealed at the recent engagement held by SANRAL in conjunction with the Sedibeng District Municipality in Vereeniging City Hall. The aim of the event was to educate local businesses on how they can partake in road construction contracts in the area, as well as improve their relationships with the municipality. In her welcoming address, Sedibeng District Mayor, Busisiwe Modisakeng mentioned that she was excited about the opportunities for owners of SMMEs. “It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the first business workshop from SANRAL. “Today displays the developmental state and role from SANRAL. A transformational pledge to openly engage and empower our SMMEs and aspiring SMMEs. “What gives me great joy is that SANRAL is business ready to stimulate our local economies within their legislated mandate of road development and maintenance.” Progress Hlahla, SANRAL Northern Region Manager, revealed that the agency would be bringing various projects such as grass cutting, pavement patching and -repairs, vegetation and chemical control, guard rail repairs, and many others.
